I don't recommend ordering from this shop with credit card advanced payment. As one of the delivery drivers one time did not like completing his duties. Last time I ordered, they told me delivery driver tried calling me, like the driver had trouble following simple delivery instructions, like simply ring buzzer to access apartment door to be buzzed into the building. The delivery driver then drove off without serving me my food. Nothing difficult about that. About 40 minutes after their delivery driver failed to bring me my sub and fries, the door dash driver had no problem understanding how to ring the bell to deliver my tacos from Taco Bell. So yes, the bell did work that night.Since I lived in this building, no other delivery driver has needed help comprehending that simple instruction. I only ordered from this store a few times. What a shame, because I could of been a regular customer ordering from them each week as I liked one of their subs. But if it's too difficult for them to deliver food, unfortunately I have had to take my business elsewhere. What a shame. The last couple of times I ordered prior to this, I noticed the delivery driver showed up with a mask, that should of I guess been a warning sign that they were going back to the covid style car side delivery. The delivery driver had no problem finding the buzzer to access my apartment building to be buzzed in the few times prior to the last time that I ordered. No excuse for drivers behavior, as I did leave a decent tip in advance, unlike some folks. If you order from here, I recommend only payment in cash when you receive your order. This store is the reason why I normally don't pay in advance for food delivery, unless they are one of those stores I know I can count on for good customer service every time.I actually left this store a really nice review too, just about a week prior to this. This sets an example of why I normally wait a long time to give a store a review. I thought I gave this store benefit of the doubt prior to this poor service, by leaving a good review and apparently I was wrong. My advice for this store, is to always remember that being a good business owner, is all about remembering that inorder to be a good business owner, you must care about serving every single customer with good customer service, regardless of how big or small that you think...
Read moreI was skeptical of Arlons for three main reasons: the management is actually Nepali and not Indian. Normally, when you have non-Indians selling Indian food or, for that matter, north Indian selling south indian and vice versa, you are met with faded glory. The decore is - nonexistent And the fact that I haven't seen too many places that sell pizza and Indian food side by side.
However, to my pleasant surprise, the food was quite good. I ordered the Karahi Paneer and asked them to make it spicy. I got the non, along with the basmati rice that comes with the order.
The basmati rice is not really basmati, but a cheaper rice cooked really well. That's fine, I'm not anal about rice. They also forgot my naan at first, but did bring it out later on their own, once they remembered. The naan was OK - it was a bit dry to my taste but far better than other Indian carry out places in the DMV area.
What was realllyyyy good was the karahi paneer curry. It was nice and tomato-ey with well cooked spices and the kind of flavor you would get at a road-side restaurant or at a train station in India. Mmmm. Don't expect gourmet Indian food here, I guess. But who wants that anyway.
My suggestion is that if you in the area and want quick, cheap Indian carry out, definitely give Arlons a try! Keep a track of what you ordered, as they seem to have a habit...
Read moreDo not order delivery unless you plan on reheating your food or are getting all cold items. I ordered a club and fries and was told 45 minutes. After 45 minutes I called and was told it should be to me shortly and that the drive left 20 minutes ago. I told the girl had I known there was issues with delivery, I would not have ordered fries. She apologized and said they should still be hot. After another 15 minutes, I called to let them know that I still didn't have my food. She called the driver and he said he was 2 minutes away and she offered me a credit on my next order. I told her no thank you and that I would not be ordering again, Ten minutes later I got my food. How are fries still gonna be hot after being in the car for over a half an hour and on top of a cold sandwich. They were soggy and cold. I understand that businesses are trying to recover but when you have people supporting your business, they should not suffer do to your business is taking on more orders than it can deliver in a timely manner without compromising a...
