It is important that you stress customer service towards your customers as they first enter your establishment.
I have witnessed your hostess speak harshly to the customer's on having their ID'S and vaccine cards ready as they enter the front door. She also stated to the customer that it is stated on the door! Please notice how many papers are on your door. This hostess was loud, rude, and very obnoxious. Every customer that came through that front door that didn't have their ID'S and vaccine card ready was spoke to very harshly and rude. Don't ever have her cover the hostess desk. She was an older lady all in black. At first I thought she was a manager, but there is no way you would have that type of manager representing Ihop!! I could only imagine how she would treat her workers. On that day she had a young boy(7/8 year's. Old) helping her.
As customers we know how short handed everyone is. We are patient most of the time. I'm sure you have rude and demanding customers, but you are a business that services the community.
I applaude your servers as they work very hard to give good customer service. There is one server that needs to be address. She works always in the morning and she is a heavy set woman. She is rude, slow, and never smiles. She made one of the ladies that buses the tables to tell a customer that they can't sit on a chair at the podium in the front as she waited for someone to take her name for a table. That customer waited for a long time, not even to be acknowledged that someone will be with her momentarily. But afterwards a young lady finally apologized and she would be right back to help, only to be seated by the bus person that told her she could not be sitting. That customer explained that she was waiting a long time and got tired standing so she grabbed a chair to sit while she waited, only to be spoke to harshly. Well the customer reacted harshly back and explained why she was utilizing a chair. Again she was spoken to harshly for her ID and vaccine card. She was asked if she was dinning alone and her reply was there was another person waiting outside. She was asked in a harsh voice why is she not here with her. The customer replied that the sign states on podium one person allowed inside at a time!!!
Please please re-train these worker's who represents your restaurant because we are thinking twice about coming back to dine. Let me tell you we eat there a lot because your prices a reasonable. Our family of 6 (2 adults 4 kids) ate here ending of 2023 and we were over charged from our server REMA. Rema gave herself automatic 20% gratuity, which first of all I donât think is supposed to be that high for automatic gratuity. When she gave the bill to us, it was not itemized, nor did it say that the tip was already included. It still had a âsuggested tipâ on our bill which was a higher amount than it was supposed to be because of the fact that she added the 20% automatic gratuity and taxes to the total amount that we owe. She also did not let us know that she already gave herself 20% tip. My other half paid and I did not check the bill until after we left. When I realized the amount we paid was way over, we headed back to ask for the itemized receipt. Rema went to dig it out of the garbage. We saw an unknown charge on our itemized receipt that said something like MGSP$ or MGRS$. When we asked what the extra charge was on our bill that said MGSP$, they acted confused and didnât respond right away. That was the 20% tip that REMA gave herself. The two ladies actually seemed a little worried when we were questioning them about our bill. We asked for the tip back because she already had given herself one. The other lady helping said she can give the tip that REMA gave herself, which was a less amount than our what we gave in the suggested section. I told them no, I want the tip we gave back. I believe theyâve been SCAMMING customers for a very long time! Be careful of this place or any restaurant that doesnât give an itemized receipt. ATMOSPHERE: This is an aging location but it has gone through a recent renovation and looks great inside. The restaurant is clean and has lots of big windows for natural light. The booths and tables can be configured to handle large groups with ease.
FOOD: French Onion Pot Roast Why'd they kill this?! I can't stress at how delicious this dish was. For being a chain restaurant, it's pretty up there with homemade versions. The tender meat was shredded and topped with a savory dark brown gravy, smooth mashed potatoes (AKA instant,) with sides of buttery corn, and their yummy garlic bread.
Big Steak Omelette Their omelettes are humongous, not only because they're made with 3 eggs, but they add in some pancake batter. This behemoth is stuffed with steak, fresh mushrooms and hash browns. On top of that, it's topped with more steak slices, cheese, diced tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and a ramekin of salsa. And in addition to all of that, it came with 3 buttermilk pancakes.
Pancakes I used to think I could only get creamy, buttery pancakes at local places but they proved me wrong. They're fluffy and the batter has that great taste I long for.
Belgian Waffle - The single, thick waffle had that amazing creamy batter flavor, was cooked perfect, and came topped with a mini scoop of their whipped butter. Drizzled old-fashioned maple and devoured it!
Breakfast Sampler What a deal this was! It cost less than their oddly pricey omelettes and you receive more for your buck. You get 2 eggs, a good amount of hash browns, 2 slices of ham, 2 strips of bacon, 2 links of sausage, and 2 pancakes. Everything was good but the bacon could be a bit crispier, but I guess I need to request that next time.
SERVICE: The staff are friendly and service is pretty quick even when they're busy. Reservations are suggested but turnover is fairly fast. Coming on a Saturday or Sunday morning? Prepare to wait a while.
