Came back for the 2nd time. And ohh Man! THE BEST AMONG ALL THE BEST!!!! Dosnt even deserve the bad reviews.
Parking : Park between yellow lines first left lane at the complex parking lot. Restaurant can be found at the lobby of the complex.
I do suggest to call them a head for reservations before going in. They take walk ins but if you want to try grab window table call them 1 day a head.
FOOD: 1.They have a lot of Vegetarian dishes as well as VEGAN option ,everything separately made. They also have a lot of dishes where you can remove garlic and onion (AMAZING!) although there is a wait for food order this is understandable for they serve FRESH HOME MADE FOOD the place is busy but to tell you everything was worth it . Worth it!
We ordered paneer masala.. yummy yummy yummy .we also order kadhai paneer ,dal curry or dal tarka , bhindi and baingan was bomb. My father ordered lamb kadhai and lamb kabab and said that its the soffest lamb he ever tasted.
SERVICE: Service Outstanding !!!! Although I feel like they needed more people. These guys are profesionals. Not even once they missed service, given the place was busy.I would suggest to go as early as you can though.
Read last comment . They do speak English. .

Read moreToday I dined at Monsoon Bar & Grill. I entered this establishment as an average Joe, but I left a completely transformed human being. To call this place simply a restaurant would be an insult to its very essence. For this establishment is far more than just a restaurant—it's an experience, a symbol, a beacon. A beacon of all that is good, bad, and ugly in this world.
The food was exceptional and transformative, the ambiance infectious, and the service superb. The hostess, in particular, treated us with such respect, warmth, and kindness—a truly great person and a testament to the goodness in humanity.
As for the food itself, honestly, I devoured it so quickly that the experience is a blur. That said, I will admit the curries were a bit watery—likely because of the tears of utter joy, confusion, and happiness that streamed into my bowl as my taste buds were graced with what felt like a gift from Buddha himself. Even as I write this, I’m still crying—both from remembering the taste and from regretting that I ever left that wonderful place.
Monsoon Bar & Grill is the greatest experience life has to offer. Every night before bed, I will dream of the food I ate here, and you can best believe that at dinner time every day, I’ll be calling to order takeout. What a great experience. I loved it here. Thank you, Monsoon Bar & Grill—you have brought meaning to this maze...
Read moreI really wanted to like Monsoon bar and grill since this is one of the very few Indian restaurants in Maui but it fell short of expectations.
I can understand it's hard to get Indian ingredients easily in these islands and that the cost of living is high. But most of the people who eat here are Indians and we know when someone is trying to cut corners.
First the good the view/ambience is good the garlic naan was excellent our server was smiling/kind though she looked frassled the mango lassi was yum
Next the bad the portions are sad the masala papad had meagre toppings on it (look at the photo and search for masala papad online, you'll see the blatant difference). Tomatoes and onions are not rare, so why the miserly toppings? the paneer chilli was so-so the masala chai was cold
Then the ugly the wait was long. We were informed of this. But when this is a holiday season and there are huge crowds, you need to be staffed accordingly. the Vegetable kadai, the least said the better. It was a mix of a bunch of masalas and not very good combination at that. The portion was minute. Most Indian restaurants provide rice with a main dish, but not here.
There is so much that can be improved here especially with the prime location they have. But I guess with the constant flow of tourists, they probably won't care...
