Summer Moon Coffee — Restaurant in Mauldin

I came to pick in order on the way to see a friend that she put in by mobile order. When I got to the drive-rhru, she only gave me one drink. And even when I asked her if that was all despite the ticket saying, drink, 1 of 2, she told me that was it. So I drove off to call my friend for confirmation. And of course, there were 2 drinks on the order, so I had to go inside. Once I got in there, I stood at the counter for a minute before I had to get the girl's attention and told her I was missing a drink from a mobile order. Before I could even finish my sentence, she interrupted me and told me that they've had a lot of orders, and I need to tell her what the drink is. So I looked at the screenshot my friend sent me and told her the drink and she walked away and started, making it with an attitude. Then she came back and slammed the drink in front of me on the counter and then as she walked away and saw other people watching said, have a good day. My friend told me to go to the one on Woodruff, because she does not like this location, and now I see why. The drinks are good, but we will definitely be making the extra travel distance to go to the other location...

"I ever tell you about the time my buddy David made green tea? Yeah, his lady took him to a Summer Moon on his off-day and he didn't want to go, but he turned out he LOVED it, man. But it's like 4 bucks a cup in one of them places (a very reasonable price btw), so David figures, "Hey, how hard can it be to brew up some green tea in ice," right? As it turns out, it's hard. Now, they say experience is the best teacher, and experience taught David that if you ever drink three gallons of green tea, it kills you. Now luckily, David's brain went into self-defense mode and started shutting organs down to head the tea off at the pass, and the doctors were able to get 'em out before his heart stopped. But to this day, David has no sensation in his right foot, and he doesn't recognize his own brother Benj no more."

They need staffing badly! I arrived around 8am on a Thursday morning on 21-Aug-2025 looking forward to dining in. Instead, I’ve observed the 2 baristas really preoccupied with pick-up and the drive-thru orders. I think they noticed us. There were people behind me and slowly those people left, and then I decided to leave. Hopefully they got to the one person remaining, but I didn’t stay to find out. I was just really surprised.

All I can say that it’s best during rush hour time, to do a pick up order or a drive-through in advance and not dine in. Maybe dine-in when it’s not weekday rush hours would be better, I don’t know 🤷🏽. But the inside look great. That’s the only good thing I could say about...
