During a recent visit to your store, I encountered a discrepancy in pricing that I found concerning. I was looking for a Biryani spice mix box and, upon inquiring, was directed to the appropriate shelf. However, the item was not clearly marked with a price. Assuming a minor price difference from other stores where I'd previously purchased the same item for $1.99, I proceeded to purchase the spice mix.
At checkout, I was surprised to find that the price was $4.99, more than double what I had expected. While I understand that pricing variations can occur, this significant difference raised concerns about potential price gouging.
Furthermore, I must express my disappointment with the overall condition of your store. The lack of organization, messy displays, and general uncleanliness create a negative shopping experience in stark contrast to other ethnic grocery stores in the area, such as the Indian and Asian grocery store on Mayfield Road, which maintains a clean, organized environment with clearly marked prices.
I hope this feedback will be taken constructively as I believe improvements in these areas would significantly enhance the customer experience.
REPLY TO THE OWNER'S REPLY Thank you for your prompt response to my feedback. However, I'm disappointed that you seem to have missed some key points I raised.
While I appreciate the clarification on the price of the Biryani spice mix, simply stating it should be $1.99 doesn't address the fact that I was charged $4.99. This suggests an issue with either your pricing accuracy at the register or a lack of clear labeling on the product itself, as I initially mentioned. Dismissing my experience as a "misunderstanding" feels dismissive. To resolve this, I would appreciate it if you could investigate why I was overcharged and potentially offer a refund for the difference.
More importantly, your response completely ignored my concerns about clear pricing of products. This is a significant issue that needs to be addressed to improve customer satisfaction. I even provided an example of another local ethnic grocery store that excels in this area.
As a customer, I'm providing this feedback in hopes of seeing improvements. Comparing your store to others in the area that offer a superior shopping experience highlights the areas where you have the potential to grow.
I urge you to take my feedback seriously and consider implementing changes to improve the shopping environment for...
Read moreI would not recommend going to this store. They sell expired goods by covering up the date. None of the products will have prices.!! So we can’t decide on what to take.!! Prices go up too often.!! I believe they charge you by looking at you whether you are keen in observing prices or not, your attire and stuff like that.!!
They charge for items which you have not bought, you need to check the receipt after you pay.!! It happened to me twice.!!
Once there was a family who are friends with owner, in front of me in the billing queue. Owner immediately took off few items from their basket and said they are costly don’t buy them, you get same quality goods for less prices.!! I don’t understand the logic behind fooling others apart from their friends.!!
I am never going back to this store unless they have non-expired goods in the racks and price tags on...
