McDonald's — Restaurant in McAllen

Normally, I don't really like leaving negative reviews in places. If I don't like the service I simply don't go there again. However, sometimes you have to , too see if anyone else has experienced something similar or if this was a once off thing. We have come to this McDonald's before it's renovation, but this was the first time we have gone since it's new look. Its pretty nice and chic and shows that McDonald's has grown with us into adulthood. The service however is terrible. First ordering, like we requested for a large coffee but the cashier told us that they weren't any. That if we wanted large we had to order two small. It sounded weird and not like a large franchise that normally would lack something as simple as this. But we were likee alright and two were ordered. We waited and just relaxing until we were called and in the mean time someone else has gone up to the registers and placed a complaint about taking a while. Which I don't know how long he was there. But seeing this situation kind of alerts you of something that was already tipping me off with no large cups available. Turns out his order was ready but no one called out his number. He commented on this and how it has gone cold. He's not wrong it's been there for almost 10 minutes since we arrived , placed our order and waiting for ours. Not soon after wards ours was out and they didn't call out any numb r or anything we simply went up and asked and it was . Seeing the prior event we checked out order, and the servings were small, the coffees that were placed with our order were taken away once we commented that if we could get more sugar and cream. With the staff which coincidentally was also the one who took our order, claiming it was not ours even if it was placed an separated into our order. She brought the same coffee like literally minutes after telling us it wasn't ours. She wasn't even sorry. We were done, we left but went back once we realized we missing an item of our order. It was terrible, the other staff member helped me out and he was a bit friendlier. Yet here's the most thing that ticked me off, we saw a large cup of coffee. Like literally after telling us they didn't have any. We asked the other staff and he said yes that they did have large cups. Maybe, it's not as bad as other reviews but when you go out to eat or take out you don't want just your order right but also friendly service. If that's too much, just sincere attitude would do. The fact the manager was not surprised and seemed annoyed at the complaint was terrible. I placed my order at 10:41am. My family and I received our order in 20 min, and we only got the sandwiches. The guy said he was waiting for the hashbrowns. I saw that one of the sandwiches was not correct. I ordered a Sausage McGriddle and received an Egg, Cheese, Sausage McGriddle. I went up to the counter, and like at all locations, there's no one there to assist the customers. A short manager in a black jacket asked me what I needed and I told her my order was wrong and that I still needed the 4 hashbrowns. She took the sandwich and my receipt and said it would be right out. I waited, and waited, and waited. 5-10 min passed and I asked another person abt my order. A girl came out and asked if I wanted cookies instead. I told her no, we wanted the hashbrowns. I waited again, and waited. Another 5-10 min passed and she came out and asked if I wanted fries. I raised my voice and told her NO. My family and I came for breakfast. They had 20 min left for breakfast and it still wasn't complete. Another short lady came out that was probably another manager in a striped shirt and she asked me what I needed and it took every fiber in my being to keep my composure and tell her I've been waiting for my breakfast. It was now 11:25am. I placed my order at 10:41am. I told her you all had 20 min to make the breakfast! I saw the girl who had been asking me for cookies and fries BARELY place the hashbrowns in the damn fryer! When they were done, I STILL did not have the damn Sausage McGriddle! Everyone looks lost and confused, meanwhile, other ppl are getting their orders, and my family has yet to eat breakfast! By the time I sat down, it was 11:35 am. We waited almost an hour for 1 Sausage McGriddle and 4 Hashbrowns. The other 2 sandwiches sat on the table and were now cold. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! And I wasn't the only one who had a problem with their order. There were at least 5 other ppl at different times waiting for something and barely anyone at the front to assist them....

Always go at night because of work. They always refuse to give me anything. I ask for tea and they say they won’t do anymore because they already threw the tea and they don’t want to do anymore . I went today at about 11 pm and asked for a mcdonald land meal and they said they couldn’t sell it because they didn’t have any shakes.I told him that he could replace it with any other shake and he said he wasn’t gonna do that . I told him that i didn’t want the Shake that I wouldn’t mind if he gave me a soda instead he said no. He was rude, and was actually screaming. I told him that all I wanted was the tin, the experience if you will and he said he wasn’t going to do that. I asked for his name and he checked if he had a name tag and since he didn’t , he just close the window. I wish i could give this place 0 stars.

EDIT: Huge redeeming plot twist. I went today, once again at night and only because i was really hungry and thirsty. I like the food but the people. Was greeted by a girl this time, told her it was going to be two orders. She got most of it wrong. She called her manager, Angel. I thought this was gonna be a nightmare. I braced my self for the show and promised myself: never again. I was wrong, Angel was awesome, Angel was different . He was corteous, offered a solution right away. He fixed the problem in a timely manner. He told me to go to the next window and delivered the food himself. He offered me condiments and apoligized for the inconvenience. He listened to me rant about the other fellow, he did so with grace and patience. Thank you to whoever hired him. I believe I’ll come again, as long as you guys have people like him around.
