The first two times I went to Crust and Craft, I had a four-star experience. Not five stars because I waited a long time for food. They bring out the appetizers after you get the pizza. This time, we were seated right away for this reservation. We were there for 15 minutes, and no one checked on us. We waited so long the first time my boyfriend had to tap the waitress and say hello. The waiter on 10/14 was amiable. She gave great suggestions on the menu. Now let’s talk about the food. I have been here on extremely busy Saturday nights, so I feel like I can say this. The truffle and mushroom pizza was so good last time! This time ….. it was not the best. They forgot to put the chicken on the pizza that we requested. That was not a big deal. The waiter brought out some large pieces of chicken for us to on top of the pizza after we told her it was missing. I’ll give 3/5. I love it when I go to restaurants, and it’s consistent. The margarita pizza was just okay. It has too much of a tang. 3/5 On My last visit, I got terrific muscles. I would say 5/5. The wings were crunchy and piping hot. That’s how I like my wings. I'm not too fond of soggy wings. For that, even if it was not sauces enough, I’ll give it 4/5. The Shirley Temple was okay but the cup I had was leaking from the bottom. I did not care about that because the Shirley tasted water down. My boyfriend said the Arnold Palmer was mostly lemonade which is not a big deal at all. I did not have high expectations for drinks.

My cousin and his date had to alcholic drinks he rated them 3/5 !

Let’s talk about the bill; everything was fairly priced. This was my biggest problem. We got charged a hefty party fee with an automatic 20% tip. We had four people only. This upset me! No where in the restaurant or on the menu, it states that a LARGE PARTY IS A GROUP OF 4. This is why I’m not coming back. I love to give restaurants a second chance to redeem themselves when I had great food before. I’m not a person who likes to argue this is very wrong. Their website states these exact words “*UPON VERIFICATION OF GREAT SERVICE, A 20% GRATUITY WILL BE ADDED TO PARTIES OF 8 OR MORE “ We had a PARTY OF ONLY FOUR PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . I’m not sure if the waiter assumed because we were a younger crowd that we do not tip or any other assumptions. We should not be judged on how we look in 2023. A tip should be based on service, not automaticity forced on you. According to the law, it’s legal to add automatic tips automatically to a bill if disclosed by the restaurant. This was not disclosed by the waiter or restaurant.

To be frank I was going to leave a tip in cash that was about 15% because the service was minimal. I was doing this because I know waiters work hard they thrive on tips in this economy. I been to restaurants where I had a bill which was maybe 50$ and tipped $30 dollars on the service I received. “ I'm not being cheap if you hear me complain” . I just felt something fishy...

I was in the area and really wanted some pizza. After performing a Yelp search, Crust & Craft captured my attention and I was in route.

As Crust & Craft sits in the square and it was at night, parking was easy to find as there was ample street parking available. Once parked, I headed towards Crust & Craft and was excited to see the outdoor seating options. Though it was a chilly night, it wasn’t cold and they have the huge heating lamps as well.

Walking in, the Crust & Craft ambiance was super vibrant, very bright, and the establishment was very clean. As it was not too far from closing time I decided to sit at the bar as I was ready to eat. lol.

The bartender was super nice. She welcomed me in with a smile and gave me a moment to cruise the menu. Though the menu has a variety of options I wanted pizzaaaaaaaaaa. Ha. I placed my order for a Sweet Tea and Pepperoni Pizza and was on my way to hunger satisfaction. 😂😂😂😂

The wait wasn’t long at all and the pizza was fresh. I ordered mine well done and the assignment was deeply understood. Thank you to the chef for this well done perfection.

The pepperoni was crispy on the edges and moist and meaty in the middle. They were flavorful and covered the entire pizza. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect for the crust and allowed each layer of the pizza to have a moment of shine.

Based on this initial experience, I have fallen in love with Crust & Craft. The service was good. The pizza was amazing. And the ambiance was a hit. I loved the variety of the music playlist as well. This was def a great choice and I am now a fan. I’ll take the hour ride for this pizza. Andddddddd the sweet tea was bombbbbbbbbb.

To the staff, cook, and servers, you are appreciated. Thank you Crust & Craft for a...

I’m not sure what the salad has to do with anything. I spilled it because I was that upset… I got on my hands and knees to clean it up because it was an accident. If you remember that, then you surely remember how you gave me a burnt pizza that was missing all my toppings I asked for… then when I asked to have it remade. You gave me the same pizza with arugula on top. Your manager said your host said I was fine with that which was a LIE. I ordered a pizza with spinach, pepperoni, basil, garlic and extra cheese. It just had pepperoni and was burnt… I ordered a side of jalapeños and instead was charged for jalapeño poppers. When I asked to speak to the manager, he wouldn’t even let me tell him what happened and your own staff said people have complained about his attitude before. The other manager was helpful. But still lacked any concern or empathy… it’s never about the money but about the service received. And I paid for that salad I dropped so I’m still not sure what the relevance is… it was a horrible experience and I will never return.

Sadly I have to change my review… I would put a super long review about how they ruined my order, had a rude manager and never once cared about any semblance of customer service. Instead I’ll just say… they can’t keep up with the demand and it SHOWS!!! Food went from amazing, to mediocre… service is horrendous and the management doesn’t care at all. If they keep it up, this place will not last. Also, the last time I was here it was horrible too. I thought it was just a fluke… but I guess having a good experience here...

Table for 2 for Lunch Approaching the restaurant, we were lucky to find an available parking spot on the street. No charge for parking on the weekend, in the McDonough Square. We took the short walk over to the restaurant. We entered and passed the patio, even though that is really where we wanted to sit, and headed over to the hostess podium. We advised our preference was to sit outside. She let us know that it is first come, first serve out there. We could seat ourselves and a server would be with us soon. She gave us menus and silverware, and we found a perfect table for 2 up against the wall. The patio was so cool with a great view of the square. Our server came over pretty quickly and wiped down our table that had a nice layer of Georgia  spring pollen on it. We quickly reviewed the beer list. Wifey ordered a Monday Night Brewery Taco Tuesday and I ordered a Wild Leap Island Haze. I needed a few more minutes to decide what I wanted to eat. When our beer arrived, we were both ready with our food order. Wifey went with her favorite Margarita Pizza and I chose to “Build My Own”;  with grilled chicken, bacon, and jalapenos.  We were enjoying the patio, and before we knew it, the pizzas were coming to the table. Wifey loved her pizza, and mine was good as well, but I wanted my crust a little more crispy. Nonetheless, I did enjoy it. This place is a winner, and we will be back to try some other options. Laura, our server, took great care of us!
