This is an excellent place to bring the family and enjoy the nice weather. Queen Bee is a locally owned, family business here in McDonough square that offers quality coffee at competitive prices. Most of the beans are roasted in-house, and they offer a wide variety of beans from across the world that you can purchase. But their services don't stop there. Often they host weekend night events with live music and games that are family appropriate. If you have a party/event you would like to host outside the home, contact them. They can offer space to accommodate, though I am not aware of their pricing. Or, if you're looking for a relaxing and refreshing place for a date, add this to the top of your list!
Update 1: they remodeled a bit of their interior- looks great and there is more space!
Update 2: been coming here for a few years now, so call me biased or experienced. Saturday mornings continue to be the best day to come. Sometimes you'll even spot a few classic cars stopping by. Kind of gives the place a more antique feel. If not that, it 's almost like an unplanned cars 'n coffee event. Nonetheless, I encourage anyone to visit on Saturday mornings. They often offer a variety of warm snacks made fresh that morning. I definitely recommend the hash brown casserole, ham sliders, quichadilla, or the waffles. Combine the snacks, coffee, and warm spring/summer weather with a seat in their spacious exterior. Here you'll be protected by the leaves of a massive oak in the center. It's giant branches extend almost to the road, yet you'll still enjoy natural sunlight...
Read moreI have driven past Queen Bee multiple times and have always intended on going in yet put it off for one reason or another. I now wish I could go back in time and kick myself for those decisions. What I found today was the best local coffee shop in Henry County with amazing drinks, delicious sweets, and cheerful and helpful staff. The decor and atmosphere were immediately inviting, and gave the entire shop a warm ambience. The two girls behind the counter cheerfully greeted me and gladly answered all my questions. I had a large oatmilk latte and grabbed some chocolate chip scones for my girlfriend. The kicker was their stock of Xocolotal (choc-o-lotal) chocolates which can only be purchased from one other store at Krog Street Market in Atlanta. The fact that I can get these amazing, small batch, dairy free chocolates from a local shop 5 minutes away instead of 50 is enough to make me a regular patron on its own. The coffee had a nice robust flavor without being too bitter, and the baristas obviously knew their craft as it was prepared immaculately. I'm torn between buying a bag to make at home and coming in even more just for their skill in its creation. Between the inviting atmosphere, trained and courteous staff, amazing confections, and addicting coffee I can say with certain that QBCC will be part of my weekly routine...
Read moreCoffee is consistently great. However, customer service is always lacking. I tip every time I order (we order multiple times a week) and often times I'm not even acknowledged when I go in to pick up my items. I often have to wait several minutes on personal conversations amongst your staff and or their friends before I can pick up my items. It’s puzzling because everything else is wonderful! You would think the customer service would be as well. I have waited two years to post this review. I hope each time I go that things will be different but the good experiences are few and far between. After talking about this with other members of the community and realizing this happens to others as well quite frequently and not just us, I do feel the need to leave this review. Hopefully this will bring attention to help realign and focus the attention on customer service. Like I mentioned, the quality of your product is fantastic but the customer service is so inconsistent that I will take my business elsewhere as soon as another non-chain small business coffee shop opens. I want to spend my money local. Please,...
