The staff is amazingly friendly! Can’t say enough good things about them all. I gave it 2 stars because, the food and price for what I got. I really hoped I would try something I liked but have yet to. I will happily edit when I do. First timer here, tried the brisket, being from TX I’m very particular. Stay away from the brisket unless you don’t mind dry and slightly flavorless. The smoked flavor was nice. I decided to go with smoke sausage because how can you go wrong with sausage. Well I was wrong, it was overcooked, to the point of being shriveled and on the edge of burnt. Not plump and juicy where you get that pop and juice coming out when you bite into to it. The potatoes were not my preference. If you like mayo based with mustard in it, then you may like it. Same with the coleslaw, not my preference, I like it a little sweeter. This was more vinegary. The bbq sauce, I got both Memphis sweet and sweet. I was let down, it tasted more like ketchup with a little brown sugar and a kick. Everyone has a different preference, it just didn’t meet my expectations.

This is a really nice BBQ spot! Drove through downtown and smelled the BBQ - had to stop in! Food is really good! I got the plate with pulled chicken. Then fries and coleslaw as my two sides. They told me that they use a vinegar base for their BBQ and I was shocked at how good it was! The fries were amazing and the coleslaw was perfect! My sister got the double plate with pulled pork, Mac and cheese, Brunswick Stew, and they had a special on chicken legs. She was pleasantly surprised, too. Staff is very friendly and helpful and cheerful! Overall I would recommend it if you're downtown and in the mood for BBQ.

Unplanned visit. Great staff. Bright and clean. Started with the basic pulled pork sandwich, fries & drink. Good meat, tasty sauces. Hope everyone gives it a try. Glad to have them as part of our downtown family.

I am not usually one to leave a negative review, especially on a small chain but I fell like this time it’s warranted. My partner And I were excited to learn of this establishment today so we opted to try for dinner. We arrived about 5:45 PM. The place was empty. Young lady at the counter was super nice and friendly and the atmosphere cute and quaint. The food was less than desirable to be the only two people in the entire establishment. Our food came out cold and I am pretty sure old my wife got the fourth ribs, fries, and coleslaw. The ribs were dry and peeling like paper. I will say that the french fries were good. I ordered the brisket mac & cheese, and Brunswick stew. The mac & cheese came out cold and tacky. The Brunswick stew was tart, but the brisket, the brisket was awful. Not only was it obviously not Fresh due to the toughness and texture And layer of Gelatinous grease, but it tastes as if they put a Smoke liquid seasoning on the brisket itself. The smoke Flavor was very strong, And left a filmy Artificial-taste in your mouth. We eat a lot of BBQ and Brisket and never have I had something tastes that way. That taste remained despite chewing gum the forty five minutes home. Again, it also came out cold. I felt as if we were going to be asked to stop eating by Gordon Ramsey. Do...

This is one of the worst bbq spots I've ever eaten at, based on the food alone.

I had the three meat, sampler with sausage, pork, chicken, slaw, mac, and fries. The sides were fine, but nothing to write home about. The meat was terrible. Everything was served minced and soaked in a tin of what I assume is vinegar

The chicken was somehow dry and wet, and totally devoid of flavor. No smoke flavor to be seen.

The pork was a pulpy blob of vinegar. Once again, no smoke flavor. It wasn't even good vinegar, it felt like white vinegar on meat.

The sausage. It actually touched a flame at one point in in it's life, but tasted like a urinal puck. Even my dog wouldn't eat it when I got home.

The sauces were passable at best.

I was hoping for a new spot in town, but this is not it. I'll go back for a burger, but not expecting much.

Edit for owner's reply: I was hoping that it was a one-off bad experience at your other location....
