Ok š š Iām finally giving my review. Came in to the bar ordered food. Cobra (bartender) was very nice and efficient the only thing I didnāt like is you handed me my š by š¤š¾ instead of putting on plate for my water. I did not drink that water didnāt want it anymore. Only pointed this out because as a server/bartender you have to know how to properly serve your customers.
As a customer sitting in bar browsing around waiting on my food I ordered for takeout. I noticed an older gentleman waiting to be greeted and seated the poor man stood there for about 3 mins still no assistance. (The restaurant was not full at that time.) I mentioned the gentleman standing at the door to Cobra he politely excused himself from the bar, greeted and seated him with a menu and let him know an attendant would be to him shortly. Which the attendant did attend to him shortly. However; it puzzled me to know, that the waiter that attended to him, was the same person that passed him standing waiting to be seated. To come to the bar and talk. Iām not sure if the front lobby is a different employees job But no one was available to help him is the point Iām making.
Thank you Cobra for going beyond and above.
I always order 3 cheese chicken penne Iām a Poly-Pescatarian this pasta is my to go to. And every time I order this. The chicken is good and seasoned well, the penne is just right, but guess what the pasta is dry as the Sahara Desert. Add more SAUCE please thank you chef.
I would definitely bring a group of people to eat or hangout at bar and have a good time. Apple Bees here in McKinney has a comfortable inviting environment absolutely kid friendly. Just not at the bar (humor)
Take out food is served HOT they have never failed me.
Iāll definitely be back but please attend...

Food has gone downhill. Anything fried was too hard to chew. The fries tasted like old cardboard according to my partner, my child could not eat their chicken tenders because they were too crunchy. My rice in my grilled chicken was very dry and hard to swallow. The burgers were dry, the boneless wings were also too hard to chew. And they were a little salty. Overall it was a terrible experience and we paid over $65 for four people but two of them were only kids meals. Very outrageous prices for the portions and the taste. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. It's much better at Chili's.
Update: I came back 3 years later. My rating is still a 3 out of 5. For three meals, two being kids meals- was a little over $30. My steak was pretty puny for the price, and very chewy even though I asked for a medium rare. The mashed potatoes were a little too salty for my liking. The fries taste it all right for my children. The mac and cheese was a little dry I had to add my own milk when I got home. The waitress was nice and attentive though. So I'll give her credit for that. I'm not really sure why a lot of these places are four stars. A bit pricey. 47 dollars for 4 people, but one was a kids meal. The food was alright. Breadsticks had a little too much salty garlic seasoning on them. The cheese on the lime chicken was a little too much. Honestly didnt know there would be cheese on it at all. Chicken strips were a little on the dry side. Mac and cheese wasnt that cheesy. Mostly the macaroni with very little cheese sauce. The waiter was attentive and nice. But overall not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOmg!!! This is the WORST restaurant. Worst, Worst, Worst... I walk in and immediately was greeted at the bar by other guest, explaining about how they were treated by the bartender. First off was his appearance. Facial peirceing all over his face, nose, ears, lips, and eyebrows. I ordered a drink and was given a drink without a coster, napkins, etc. I ask for something and rudely he said, I'm helping someone else you'll have to wait. (Well)!!!! I asked for a manager and he comes over making excuse, like the bartender was a good guy etc. REALLY? So I decided to have my drink. The entire bar started talking about the worst service that they had received from him. 15 minutes later the manager comes out and says to me, the bartender wants me and everyone else to stop talking about him and his work ethic. ARE YOU SERIOUS!! We were talking amongst each other.. No one said anything to him. Yet he heard the conversations and told the manager and he decided to go beyond being a manager and turned into an neighborhood dad. Lol!!!!! The food I never finished, The beer I never finished, I was afraid of someone spitting in my food etc, The counters were so sticky, floors were dirty, however, I gave them a chance.. They all should get a training course in Customer Service 101.. Applebees is trying to make a brand come back, however, being a business owner, with those 2, I'm sure you have LOST the guest that just started coming back to pay respects to a long-time neighborhood bar that was lost years ago. I will never give Applebees a drop of business ever again!!! They were not even worth the 1...
