They just opened not too long ago so I didn’t really expect them to have everything together. So I will take that out of the equation. But I do think they could have been a little more prepared. So I did give 0 stars for service and atmosphere.
In a nutshell: Pro: Their salad dressing was delicious!!! Con: everything else.
Sandwiches: Cuban and Italian Beef were both not even remotely good. The meats were extremely dry ( even with the Au Jus for the Italian Beef).. The bread was hot and crispy before they got wrapped, which steamed the bread making it inedible. The Au Jus had zero flavor, it was just basically water. Other comments: because we couldn’t get half sandwiches of the Cuban and Italian Beef ( why not?) we had to get full ones so that made it more expensive. With that being said, they appeared to be about 6 inches and about 1/2 inch full, for a sandwich that’s $10 I feel it could have been bigger. The half salad was around $6 and it was as basic as can be. Lettuce, cheese, croutons, and dressing. The dressing was actually very good, though!
With a place called Picklemans, the pickle should be free!!!
Price: $30 for two sandwiches, half salad, and a pickle.
With all of this being said, I am willing to try another sandwich. Perhaps their cold sandwiches are better. But I honestly don’t think I want to spend the money on dinner and afterwards have to make a second dinner at home to be full.
But as far as sandwich shops go, Jersey Mikes cold sandwiches, Capriottis hot sandwiches, and Which wich are FAR superior, more filling, and a little...
Read moreOrdered the cafe club sandwich, asiago chicken sandwich, a small broccoli and cheese soup, and a couple of chocolate chip cookies.. Both sandwiches were made correctly and tasted good. I really liked the bread. The cookies were soft but baked well. The soup was very bland. It being my first visit, there were a few hiccups. Pickles are not automatically part of your sandwich. You either have to ask for pickle chips in your sandwich or pay for a whole pickle on the side. I also didn't like that you couldn't see them make your sandwich. Not a big deal, but I like to see the options in case I want to add anything like onions or... pickles. I also thought the sandwich was a bit small. They were half sandwiches, but still on the skinny side. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was mostly clean. A few tables needed to be wiped down. It was early in the day and not busy when I arrived. Overall, I did like this place. It's just odd that Pickleman's makes you ask...
Read moreI first learned about this place in Oklahoma. My son went to school at ou and when I would visit, I would always tell him to take me to a place that is not in texas. He to me here and I fell in love. My son told me that Mckinney texas was getting a location. So on sat may 3 2025, we drove an hour to that location. I live in rowlett and it took me 56 minutes to get to pickelmans. I went to get an eye exam before going to the restaurant. I recommended it to the staff. Can we get a pickelmans in rockwall, Texas? Please. We need this place on our side of town. The community of rowlett, rockwall, Garland, would benefit from the spot. When I sat down to eat, I felt like I was back in Oklahoma. My turkey bacon sandwich was superb. Me and my son received supreme service, just like in Oklahoma. I hope to see this location in my community soon. However, I will drive an...
