Arby's — Restaurant in McMinnville

We quit going to this McMinnville Arby's location for over a year. There was a time when the manager Was always available and friendly and the location was spotless, however, that has been several years ago ( guessing 3 or 4 years back)! Since he left, the place seems to have no responsible caring manager on site. The tables are almost always dirty....several afternoon times the children of some of the staff were obviously hanging out at a table (i.e. babysitting on site)...we just quit going. Today, we decided to have lunch. We entered at noon and 6 tables were filled.....not that busy. Most of the empty tables had not been cleaned. They entire place looked like a pig pen. The counter for drinks and sauces was covered with splattered sauces and soda. The area behind the food counter was strewn with Curly fries and food. I got the attention of a young woman worker and asked why the place was so dirty? She looked at me as if stunned. I pointed out the details above and she assured me she would get on it. We had lunch .... And the food is mostly good and not my complaint...., however, no one seemed concerned about clean up! I went to the young man cashiering and told him I had talked to someone about the mess and he promptly said he would clean. I watched as he cleaned the condiment counter and the tables, and I commend his "can do" attitude. This was the beginning of lunch time, however, before the normal high crowd time. It doesn't make us want to return again anytime soon. I should have taken and posted pictures but didn't think about it until now. Where is...

Dining door locked, called and gal seemed unsure how to answer my simple question, "is your dining room open?". Very strange. As she uttered "um ... Uh..." (Dead air..., Then me: " hello?”) "uh ...It's supposed to be... Uh... " Finally the door opens and she props a baby seat to keep it open, "it's been locking itself".

Ok, fine, ... I walk in and try to make cheerful conversation as I walk to the order counter... Ignored...

Gal is doing something to the side, guy is standing with his arms crossed, leaning against some fixture, no smiles anywhere!

I wait patiently while my presence is not even acknowledged... I may as well not exist at all.

Gal puts some money in the register and turns her back and walks away. Guy messes around doing ... Something... Eventually comes to the register to take my order, no smiles, no "sorry for the delay", just "what do you want?".

I place my order, still being pleasant, then he waves his hand at the drink cups and walks away... Unsure, I point at what looked like 'medium' and ask, "this one?", he turns and says, "whatever" and turns his back on me again and walks away.

Ok....... wow...

I looked at all staff more carefully, and saw all young (I would guess nobody over 25 at most, but who knows?), NO smiles, apparently a very unhappy crew who just didn't care. Not customer friendly... Just a big pile of attitude.

Creepy.

I ate quickly and got...

Holy Crap…why even be open. Out of drinks on special. None of the condiment pumps work. No napkins out. The cook has long hair and a beard and no hair nets. He’s handling shaved meat and not wearing gloves and wiping fingers off on shirt. Curly fries were only warm and tough as nails…not fried fresh for sure. My beef slider was TERRIBLE. Spent $20 and it was TERRIBLE. My wife was quiet, not happy. I tried to post a complaint online but they want too much personal information to make that possible. All the manager had to say was sorry. One of the employees was even walking around carrying his daughter on his side. I wanted to get my money back, my wife wanted to leave. I’m still very upset about this. Like this posted complaint will do anything at all. People need to know. Very unsanitary food conditions.

They contacted me…to make things right….I filled out their info and never heard back from anyone. A waste of time and effort, they have no follow through. I went back to take s look and nothing has changed at all. Still no gloves on a food handler and scraps of sandwich meats on the floor being walked on in the kitchen area. Holy cow...
