Baja Fresh — Restaurant in Medford

This has been my favorite place to eat for years. Only fresh food (nothing frozen or canned, and no microwaves), endless chip refills and an awesome salsa bar. No one can blacken a salsa like Baja! The portion sizes on their burritos make it an exceptional value too. Try the Diablo burrito (even if it's not on the menu, they'll make it) con carnitas, enchilado verde style. It's my happy place :) This location just got a face lift and is clean and comfortable. I've also never seen such an accommodating, spatious patio. I also got a chance to meet the owner while we were in (great people by the way) and learned that misters and heaters will also be added to the patio. Please do yourself a favor and cancel the Chipotle plans and head on over. You won't regret it, and I'd love to see this place thrive for years to come. Completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, this place is way overpriced for what you can expect. Tonight I ordered the seafood tacos a la carte off UberEats only to receive one taco instead of three (even though there were three cups of mango salsa to go with each), a wimpy portion of chips, queso sauce like I've never tasted before (in a bad way), and two separate cups (either small or medium size) of Diet Coke when I ordered a large. Oh, no napkins or utensils either. With the extra little UberEats fees and my three dollar tip my total came out to $22.06! Oh, and I'm still hungry.

I forgot to add there was an ant in my bag of chips. I do not have ants in my home.

I'm editing this because I found another little bug crawling around the food. Looked like a baby termite! Also, I was so hungry when I ate this. I hadn't eaten all day. I didn't even notice the Diet Coke was completely flat! AND the chips were stale! Wow, this place...

Top notch food and customer service, let me tell you what makes this Baja Fresh stand out: About a week ago i came in for a quick bite and ended up with a problem with my burrito, i was already back on the road by that time and didn't have time to return for an exchange, so i left a 1 star review complaining about the problem. I understand mistakes happen but it's what you do after a mistake is made that sets a company apart from the crowd, the manager of this Baja Fresh reached out to me and not only apologized for the mistake but offered to replace the burrito even days after the fact, i went in today expecting a rude "this guy complained last time so spit in his burrito" attitude, i couldn't have been more wrong, the staff was very friendly, apologized for the inconvenience and was generally wonderful.
