I can’t share on how the food tastes because we didn’t get a chance to try it. The young hostess, Journey, greeted us and smiled but as soon as we told her we would like to place a to-go order her demeanor changed. Like it was the most inconvenient thing we could have asked of her. She told us it was going to be a while and I said , a while..? I didn’t know if she meant a while before our order could be taken or if she meant it was going to be a while before the food came out. She rudely says, yes a while! And the proceeds to tell her coworker right in front of us- “these people are demanding to be helped right now” throwing up her hands in a passive aggressive way. Like mam, we didn’t mind waiting to have our order taken, I just wanted clarification if the food was going to take a while. I didn’t want to wait 30-40 minutes for takeout since we were on a tight schedule. The other ladies started apologizing saying she normally isn’t rude and that she is new. I doubt she will last long because if you’re a new employee and you’re already treating customers that way, it’s only a matter of time before more customers see this type of behavior. We went down the street to Over Easy Southern Oregon. They were absolutely splendid. Took our takeout order even though they stop taking takeout orders at 9 and the food is AMAZING!! Will be giving them a 5...
Read moreOh my goodness! What a great find and on whim too. This cafe was the first place I arrived at, after driving 5 hours north on Fathers Day 2019 and what a find it was! So Thankful. 🙏🏼
The Cafe in itself has a lot of history to it, and I was waited on by one of the owners who was just on it, funny, and just an overall gem with a funky spirit, wish I could remember her name.
Its a local joint with good, homey, down to earth, tasty, breakfast comfort food and it was affordable. Parkside Cafe is definitely for those who enjoy a little funky eclectic simple diner-ish, unassuming type of place. I'm really happy to have found it, it was a great way to start my adventure. Parking was easy, it seemed like a locals hangout, and the service was great too!
Like I stated, it was one of the new owners who served me, she was friendly, quirky and spunky. in fact she and the other co-owner, were excited and happy I was on an adventure in their area that they both suggested i stay awhile and were kind enough to offer some suggestions of sights to see, visit and enjoy. One was the Oregon Coast. I didnt make it, as it was 4 hours away. But Im hopeful to return, if i still live in the bay.
Yelp has a checkin discount too,...
Read moreWanted a nice little spot for a breakfast on our way through Medford.
The young lady who seated us was very nice. She took our drink orders. When we got our drinks, the cups had what appeared to be butter on the outside of both cups.
The waitress was not wearing a mask, wiped her nose and grabbed someone's plate without washing her hands. Same waitress had food all over the back of her skirt as if she had been wiping her hands on it.
We watched the kitchen staff stack plates on top of each other in the service window with food to go out.
While our waitress was grabbing our plates, she picked her ear with a plate in her hands, then continued to handle food.
I ordered Poached Eggs, the yoke was hard on both eggs. Waitress forgot condiments that were requested.
Needless to say, we did not eat much at all. Overall a disgusting experience. Will not go back. I will be surprised if we don't get a...
