Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Medford

Black Rock has been my coffee of choice for awhile now, it was really good at first, but over the year or so I've been quite off put by the environment, the staff attitudes, & the nerve of these baristas getting mad because I chose not to leave a tip. Anytime I get a coffee here they try to force you to "leave a signature" by saying they "need" one on their iPad that they use to beg people for tips. Civilians should not be expected to pay the wages of anyone for that matter, but the amount of pushiness & uncomfortable vibes I get when I go to Black Rock is super annoying. & on top of this, the male workers here really weirded my wife out, one of them actually physically grabbed her phone out of her hand while trying to scan it. Just honestly overall terrible customer service, & tired of the same weirdness everytime I come to Black Rock, so maybe the staff will take some advice from my very honest review, stop trying to BEG for tips off people for pouring some chocolate milk into a cold brew, the male staff can stop sitting on the window trying to be seductive with any woman who comes through, & last of all, turn their stupid music down. Nobody coming to Black Rock to study wants to sit and listen to Tory Lanez sex RnB playing...

My wife and I just went to the drive-thru at 10 a.m. September 14th 2025. The young girl with brownish black hair long was absolutely the most unfriendliest and to be honest rude.

We ordered two large blended caramel blondies I stated I would pay for extra caramel drizzle with no problem I had asked for whipped cream and I also stated I would like to order a kids cup full of whipped cream and I would pay for that as well.

We get the two large caramel blondies with barely any caramel whipped cream was barely two small passes the kids cup was literally not even halfway full.

When I say I will pay for it that means do as I requested as long as that is an option that's available on the menu. Absolutely 100% disappointed they charged us for the extra caramel the kids cup we didn't get the extra caramel at all and the kids cup like I said was not even halfway full and it's not because it had settled she made it right in front of us.

Not good service the beverages complete let down. I would like these remade and...

SHOULD HAVE STOPPED HERE for My Medford Coffee Joint Adventure😞. The middle-of-the-road 3-star rating is because I didn't go inside therefore I don't know what the inside ambience, coffee, and service etc. are like. It was my mistake for letting the word "chain" in this place's Google description drive me away from stopping here in this place with easy parking and a well-kept exterior. I am generally biased in favor of downtown independent coffee joints. So, I went downtown @ 6:45 am and found all about 8 of those joints to be closed... WHAT?! With all the pot dispensaries in the downtown area, I conclude that the owners and staff of those Sunday Morning closed coffee joints must smoke a lot of weed. Yep, I should have stopped here for my coffee joint stop after leaving my hotel because this particular coffee joint was open @ 6 am, thus Black Rock Coffee Bar gets it.
