I go here because it's the only quick serve pizza place of this style in town. It's my least favorite I've been to though and I've been to several in other cities: Blaze, Pieology, and Rev.
The pizza at mod always comes out floppy and undercooked, even when I ask for it extra done. It's also never cut through all the way. So combine those two deficiencies and I get a pizza slice what completely falls apart when I try to tear it away from the rest.
Also, they go so fast when you're telling them what toppings to put on I don't even have time to look and see what's available or what looks good. I feel pressured to list all my toppings at once instead of one by one.
And what's with the way they put the pesto sauce on? They scoop it into a scoop with holes on the bottom and bang it on their wrist so the pesto pops out of the holes. It takes forever and I think their wrist starts hurting because they always ask "is that good?" after only banging out half the scoop. No, I'd like the full scoop please, it's barely enough as it is, but it'll do because I don't have all day and I don't want your wrist to start bleeding onto by pizza.
I also hate having to round the corner after building my pizza to a cashier who has no clue what I ordered. Every single time they just say "what'd you get?" I built a pizza with a bunch of toppings, aren't they all the same price? Why can't the person who built it tell them what I got or read it off an order slip. I've never seen this before at any business. I can't think of a single place where they would just let the customer tell them what they're paying for without actually knowing or varifying it.
Another thing is the music is so loud I have to yell my toppings at the employee making my pizza cause no one can hear a thing.
As for the positives, the location is nice and the actually buildout inside is nice. I really want to like this place but they have a lot of systematic issues they need to fix because, as The Profit would say, the product and the process are...
Read moreHorrible customer service! Got the feeling the staff hated working there and were taking it out on the customers. Took my family out and my 8 year old daughter was so excited to be there. We walk up and two ladies are waiting the lady starting the pizzas was very impatient like she had something better to do while getting paid to make pizza and the lady putting toppings on the pizza was a short heavy set woman with a red bandana that was down right disgustingly rude. She would put just a little toppings on each pizza without asking if we wanted anything else on or pizza and put them over for the oven guy to grab them before we could stop her. My wife actually started to ask her to add something and she still gave the pizza to the oven guy and then turned and gave my wife an evil look. She didn't say one word the whole time. That girl needs to be fired. Then after paying while my girls sat down i was waiting for our pizzas and watching the employees and they were all talking about how mad the girl was in a joking manner and i could tell she was feeding on it like it was a funny thing and all of them were saying how they didn't care and using the f bomb while saying this place.... wow still don't know what to think. Keep in mind my family is hearing this. Sad thing is its great pizza but this isn't my first bad experience here. Not going back. Wouldn't recommend anyone here ever. Mod pizza is the worst customer...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I love mod, ever since they have opened here in Medford we have been regulars. We always get the same pizza it’s our favorite. (Caspian) We always get the classic mod with double layered crust! It’s super good. Today as I go into to order our favorite pizza the woman asked me what I was getting. I told her what I wanted and she said with a super rude attitude “we don’t do those pizzas like that anymore they are a fire hazard” I respond back to her and simply stated “but we always come here and get the same pizza every time.” She started to make my pizza and was telling her coworkers be careful of the fire hazard about to be in the oven. As I was waiting for my pizza to be cooked the woman cooking the pizza was standing there and she came up to her and said “don’t forget about the fire hazard that girl ordered” again In snobby rude tone. I was so shocked that are favorite food joint was like this to us. The woman was so rude and I’m so disappointed, are pizza was even black! On top of that I was waiting for over 20 minutes and there was barely anyone there. Don’t know if we will be back for awhile. She ruined are exprince. We are always so happy to come in but now I don’t ever want to come in if...
