I don’t even normally do this…. On 7/5 I went on a quick date here with my significant other. I have an obsession with music and vinyl records so I loved the the environment aesthetically and expected to have an amazing cocktail experience. Unfortunately, the vibes was completely thrown off by bald Caucasian man, who I assume was the manager (since he was the only person behind the bar not dressed in black). Upon approaching the bar, he stared at us. I browsed the menu and said hello when I noticed him watching us. He said nothing back. Then, a young woman took our order. She was attentive and had manners. While we waited on our cocktails, I had some water I noticed available on the side of the bar. The seemingly manager stared more and then asked, “uh, can I help you with something”… strange, we’re at a bar so probably a drink, sir… I said, “ oh, she got us already, thanks”…. Got our drinks and found somewhere to sit. The vibes threw us off so we sat further away from the crowd. Then, I kept noticing the same man watching us from where he stood at the bar. Once we decided to leave after the first drink… we both took our glasses back to the bar… we both went to the bathroom. When my BF came out of the bathroom, the same man had come back there too… like seemingly checking the bathroom for something but seemed to get his answer when he walked out alone to wait on me.. i don’t know what any of that was even about, but to the seeming to be manager lol…. If you had a question or something to share you should have said it… instead of whatever assumption that led you to believe we were any less deserving of placing an order at your bar than anyone else. I wish i wanted to...
Read moreThe worst experience. Arrived in suits and dress after a graduation and thought it was a great place to celebrate… only to get treated like scum. Please consider closing down for private events or fixing how you operate with an event taking place. There were 2 bartenders working the whole place plus a private event on a Friday evening. I was looking at a drink menu by the bar for about 5-10 minutes when a white male bar back with ponytail abruptly ripped it from me and then stashed it under the bar… not even for another customer to look at. Doesn’t speak a word to us. Immediately after, the female bartender noticed this and dismissively told us to find a seat (there weren’t really any) until someone ELSE helps us. Essentially telling us to get lost. 10 minutes later, a waiter comes by just to scramble to find a menu and give us one. 10 minutes later, he comes back to take our order. About 20-25 minutes later, our drinks finally arrive. Meanwhile, there are white and black male patrons who trickle in by the bar and quickly get their drinks ordered FROM THE BAR and have their drinks ready before ours….while it took us ONE HOUR to get 1 drink, and we were treated like nuisance for standing by the bar when there weren’t any tables around. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in any bar. Don’t recommend to anyone at all especially...
Read moreMe & 4 friends went to hear a guest DJ this past Saturday night around 10:30pm. The wait for drinks at the bar was the longest I have ever experienced anywhere in recent memory. There were plenty of employees/bartenders behind the bar but it was a 30min wait just to get the attention of a bartender. I finally was able to place a drink order after waiting 25-30min. The venue wasn't even crowded. Nobody behind the bar would make eye contact with me or my friends while we were waiting to place our drink orders. The way they were working was like they had a crowd of 300 when there were maybe 50 people in the bar area. I gave up and decided to order a drink from the table we were sitting. After a SOLID 30 minutes I went to the bar and flagged down someone (which I hate doing) and told him I need to close my tab and that I never got my second drink. My friends visiting from California loved the atmosphere but were also shocked by the length of time it took to get served. I would like to know if everyone quit and these were all new hires who had never bartended before or was there another large function in a closed room they were having serve as well. Such a great...
