I really hate that I can’t give zero stars. As I was placing a to go order the lady on the phone who is the manager was so rude and it was very upsetting because I live close by and eat here once a week. I asked her what was the name of the sushi roll that Was deep fried with crab meat and had the honey sauce she told me she did not know I said, OK, one second let me go back to the recent text message she said could you call us back. I then entered the restaurant And asked to speak with a manager, she mentioned she was the manager. I asked her was it a problem to hold for literally two seconds while I got the name of the roll out of my recent text message Her body language got very aggressive, and her voice tone was rising as she was talking to me. As I said, I eat here once a week for lunch and this has made me not want to come here anymore. My husband and I eat here for dinner once a month And it is sad because now we have to find another hibachi grill restaurant to go to because I will not tolerate disrespect somewhereI’m spending my money all The time. Customer service is important to me and if I’m not respected, I will not spend my money there. For her to be the manager and talk to me the way she did is very unacceptable. As I was walking out, an older lady said to me, she was also rude to them when they first entered the building, so yes I did contact Better Business...

First time here and this place didn't disappoint. We came here for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy but we were able to get seated for two right away. We were so happy that they offered lunch specials on the weekend! As a non-local, I appreciated that as I'm not used to it. Our server's name was Ibrahim. He was the best! He was attentive and was really great at his job. Very calm and patient as he waited tables. I've heard the table next to us ask for his name too because they wanted to be served by him next time. As we got seated, they give you a complimentary spring roll per person. I've never received a free spring roll anywhere before! So that was cool. For appetizers, we started with agedashi tofu which is lightly battered and fried soft tofu with a light sauce. One of my favorites! I think Red Koi is my 2nd favorite place to get it from. Too bad I'm not local! We also ordered the two special roll lunch special - buccaneer roll & the chick fila roll. It was so unique, great portions, and tasted good! We also split the chicken and shrimp hibachi because we couldn't decide what to get plus the hibachi smelled so good when you walked in. My friend said the yum yum sauce was her favorite there. We had so much leftovers but it was all worth it. My friend has a new favorite spot now and Im sure I'll come back when...

My husband and I have been to Red Koi many times, each time the service was exceptional and food was delicious! Price wise, I think it's fair for what is given. Good portions and taste amazing! Today we tried a new sushi place (in Wolfchase area), it was a huge mistake. We have learned our lesson, Red Koi is the only Japanese restaurant we'll go to in this area. Highly recommend Red Koi to everyone!

Update Review 2/12/19: Since the previous review I have returned to here several times. Tonight will be the last time we dine here. Truly disappointed with the service and food. Seems to have gone downhill since previous review. I had the chirashi and I understand the “chef” gets to choose the pieces, the majority of pieces were awful and the cheaper cuts were given. My husband’s katsu was over cooked and dry. Waitress provided minimal customer service and failed to provide complimentary rolls (not a big deal just pointing out lack of attention)....

Had an enjoyable experience at Red Koi. While awaiting a to-go order, we received friendly and palatable service from the bartender. She ordered a pinot grigio, and we were served one complimentary spring roll each, along with waters. I had the veggie rolls - which included asparagus, avocado, cucumber and tofu - and the fried rice, which was a very delectable mix of broccoli, eggs and carrots. The rice seemed to be fried in a balanced combination of butter and oil. My friends had the cherry blossom rolls - a combination of shrimp tempura, avocado, and tuna- and the koi tempura rolls - which include smoked salmon, cream cheese, and spicy crab. They both include their house "red koi sauce", and my friends commented positively on both rolls. Along with local establishments like Tsunami and Sekisui, a recommended place to visit for people seeking Japanese/Pacific Rim cuisine.

Seriously awesome sushi! We live here in Bartlett and eat sushi at various places regularly. I can honestly say I was very impressed with Red Koi! If you haven't tried it yet, you owe it to yourself because it's just that good! Colin was a great server, the chefs prepared the food beautifully and its taste and quality were phenomenal! We enjoyed the clear soup (a little spicy), the salad (nice and sweet), and 5 rolls (tornado, vols, crunch salmon, chick fill a roll, and koi)! Lastly, the atmosphere was very pleasant with nice, cushy seating, beautiful tile, and interesting lighting. We highly recommend it and will be back many more times!
