P.F. Chang's — Restaurant in Memphis

I would not recommend this location due to the horrible service we just received from the server Amanda, as well as unsanitary conditions in light of a pandemic.

We waited about 20 minutes to make a drink order. Three ordered alcohol and water, two ordered just sodas. When she came back 6 minutes later there was just water and sodas. This is fine, we figured there were just too many drinks to carry at once and placed an appetizer order. Another 10 minutes later the appetizers come out with no drinks and no small plates for us to dish them out. We were patient again on the drinks and asked for the small plates. Amanda repeated out the drinks everyone was waiting on, and we reminded her once more “oh and those plates too, please.”

“I heard you the first time” was the response we got. Another wait and the drinks come out with no plates. We became frustrated and said “we don’t want to be rude but this food would be nice to eat while it’s still hot.” Amanda begins to take the drinks away with her to go fetch plates. We told her that she could at least give us the drinks she brought out with her, and tell her we feel things were being done out of order.

“I’m sorry that you feel that way” were the exact words she told us. Stunned we told her that was not how we felt but were the facts, and that we didn’t appreciate her attitude. To note she set one of the drinks down in front of my father-in-law. He took a sip from the drink and set it back down when she took it back and put it on her tray with other drinks that belonged to a different table. “This isn’t yours.” We wanted to make sure she didn’t give it to another table and didn’t know if she saw he had drunk from the cup. My wife’s exact words were “you aren’t going to give that to another table, right?”

“No, of course I wasn’t going to do that.” I cannot even begin to understand how someone believes it is ok to speak to people the way that Amanda did to us today. Add on the fact that EVERY employee had masks pulled below their noses (making the masks pointless) and she thought it was appropriate to set someone else’s glassware on our table before she would have taken it to them. Tried this for the first time and I'd have to say it's alright food came a little cold but definitely warm, I had the pepper steak, crispy honey chicken I think, the asian ribs and the combo fried rice all for two people. wait time was average.

starting with the appetizer the asian glaze ribs, they came pretty lukewarm but the meat was nice and soft tender the asian glaze was pretty unique not like your average teriyaki flavor this was Asian 100% not Americanized is what I mean they smell like walking into an Asian market but they were solid 7/10

Main Antree The pepper steak was good the meat was nice and tender the peppers gave it a nice touch but the glaze was a bit bland for me/ watered down and the portion was small for the price overalls 6.5/10

My gf got the crispy honey chicken bowl it came with these edibles white little base things almost like Styrofoam stings on the base lol pretty odd but it had no flavor at all and didn't affect the chicken but the chicken itself was nice and crispy light and the honey sauce flavor was good my girl liked it just not the odd base didnt know what it was called 7/10

save the best for last The combo fried rice it had shrimp beef chicken it had plenty flavor and green onion and bean sprouts really good not bland the meats were good too overall very good fried rice 9/10 would get this everytime

They give you the option for white and brown rice for every Antree and I ofc ate mine w my pepper steak and my MF ate hers w the chicken normal white rice nothing special but that fried rice stole the show overall I spent 80$ before tip q little on the pricey side which was expected but I'd give this place a nice 7/10 have to try more of the menu for sure atmosphere was nice need more waiters only 2...

I haven't been to a P. F. Chang's in a while. I brought my wife as she hasn't been before. I would like to start by noting our server. While he was courteous, he definitely needs more training. He never checked on us except to take our order. The restaurant wasn't even busy. We were the only one In his section. He walked by our area several times and never even looked our way. I would have rated service even worse because I had to flag down other servers when we needed something. In that regards, I gave them three stars because Tia was kind enough to tend to our needs each time I called out for a servers attention and promptly got us what we needed. I wish we were in her section to begin with. Second we came during lunch time and ordered items off of the lunch section, but Charles charged full price instead of the lunch price on the menu. I was already unhappy with his service, so I didn't feel like being up the issue, but he definitely needs more training.

The food itself was delicious. I got the ginger chicken with broccoli and my wife got the Kung Pao chicken. I got fried rice with my order and she got steamed rice both orders were cooked well and were flavorful. Chicken was tender and not chewy or dry. I also ordered the calamari off the app which was good. I didn't care to much for the wasabi flavored dipping sauce they serve with it. The spring rolls and the brussel sprouts were good as well.

It would be nice if the item descriptions told you which chicken was fried and which was grilled.

The restaurant could do a little better on some cleaning points, like the window areas and menus, but it wasn't notably bad...
