I came up to Menifee for a reunion with my high school biddies. One of my friends opened his house to everyone, but I'm not 12 for a sleepover. I need my own space away from everyone, and my own bathroom!! LOL! Two friendly greetings when I walked in. The young woman who helped me looked up my reservation, and I asked if possible, a room far away from the elevator. I did request a high floor too. She gave me the best room far away from the elevator and I think with no one else in the rooms nearby! So grateful for that!||The room was spacious! I loved the window shade with the leaves! Nice large bathroom and good water pressure. I also loved the tv which had great stations plus streaming you could log into. I also really liked the luggage cabinet with two drawers underneath. Now that's what all hotels should have! Closet was a little on the small side. I also liked the small fridge and microwave.||The complimentary breakfast offered scrambled eggs, potatoes, and some proteins. There was also a special item; one morning an English muffin breakfast sandwich, the next morning was a small quiche. You can make waffles too. Really good coffee! Nice dining area, but I took mine up to my room. It was a great way to start the day.||There is a pool and a lounge area that I didn't use. Also, a pretty decent fitness room to get in a "on the road" workout. There is also this great walking path, that I didn't take advantage of, near the hotel. Lots of parking which is nice. And it's close to the freeway, and retail/restaurant areas, but quiet. It was really nice to comeback from being with a group of obnoxious guys to peace and quiet.||Since I am a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was offered some bottle water and my parking was waived. I really appreciated that! Everyone was very courteous and friendly, especially the night my key card stopped working. The only complaint I have is the AC unit. It doesn't really turn off...I mean the aircooling part does, but not the unit. I felt it sounded like white noise which I fell asleep too. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if my reunion brings me back this way, and I look...
Read moreI normally don't write reviews but this was the absolute best customer service we have received in a long time that I felt it needed special recognition. We had an medical ER that required us to stay last minute at a nearby hotel. It was a very emotional time, Sonia the night auditor checked us in & absolutely gave us outstanding service, we were tired after being at a hospital all day/evening long. She was so empathetic, helped us extend our stay day by day, gave us water & snacks when she could tell we were just drained, tired, and hungry as most places were closed by the time we can back from hospital. It was just the little touches that she gave us when we needed it most. All the hotel staff were outstanding, but we interacted with Sonia the most since we were coming back to the hotel later in the evening. The hotel was able to keep us in our original room for most of our stay, except the last day, however they made that process painless as they allowed us to stay in our original room until the new room was ready. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms were great, equipped with little fridge, microwave. The breakfast was wonderful. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor fire table were great for chilly evenings & destress. The laundry facilities were clean, easy to use & especially useful for us since we just threw stuff in a bag and left in a hurry. We were able to take our service dog with us, hotel is very dog friendly. They also have a little nice gym. Hotel is located by good restaurants, Starbucks, etc in walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel & wanted to give the staff there special recognition especially night auditor Sonia. Really outstanding customer service.cantbsay enough good things. This was a great stay, with caring compassionate staff, that little bit helped ease some of the stress were under, & was just what we needed at the time. We just want to say thank you for your service & kindness during a very...
Read moreThis hotel is the only major chain hotel in Menifee, California. As such, it has a captive audience.|The hotel itself is fairly new and centrally located. Many stores and restaurants are within walking distance. It is off the beaten path and pretty quiet. We chose the top floor.|When we checked in, the front staff was super friendly and quite accommodating. Our room was clean and quiet. It has surge pricing and we stayed five nights-a long time.|Wednesday and Thursday nights were very reasonable-$112.00 @ night. Friday night was $296.00 and Saturday night was $314.00! That's a lot of money to pay for a hotel room. And, they charge you $14.00 @ day for parking! Now this is just an open parking lot, no guard, no gate, nothing. Talk about a rip off.|Breakfast was awesome-honestly. They had freshly cooked eggs every day with bacon or sausage. Waffles. Yogurt. Toast. Muffins. Potatoes. Juice and more. Really good.|Now the bad news...when we woke up Thursday morning, our room was crawling with ants! There were ants at the window, around the door, on the ceilings-everywhere!! Immediately I went to the front desk. They apologized (sort of) but told me the hotel was sold out and there were no more rooms. Had there been another hotel in Menifee, I would have checked out, not paid and been happier.|Since we had no options, we elected to stay. The maintenance man actually came to our room immediately. He had bug spray and I showed him the ants. He agreed to spray after we left the room. The front desk also agree to completely clean the room after it was sprayed, which they did.|After all that, I spoke with George, the General Manager. He apologized profusely and agree to take 50% off our most expensive night. This was fair, in our opinion.|Now the ants stayed away until the morning we checked out. Then they were back with a vengeance. As we were checking out, we just...
