UPDATE: 12/19/2017 I was getting ready to write-off China Bros delivery last night before they corrected the issue. It's Christmas crazy time and we were going non-stop. Exhausted and in need of food, I decided on delivery so I could get our Charlie Brown Christmas tree setup (the trees were horrible less than a week before Christmas). I ordered food online at 6:28 PM and I expected around an hour for delivery. I was already hangry, so this was going to feel like an eternity. About 7:45 PM, after the family gave up and ate some microwave food, I called China Bros and told them I would come pick up the food, but I was told the driver was on their way. I was getting ready to post a note on the door telling the delivery driver that we gave up when I saw them arrive. I was upset and told the driver. She was very nice and quickly calmed the frustration. The girl told me that the prior delivery driver had vehicle problems and that was the reason for the delay. She advised the dinner was free for the trouble caused. I felt bad because I did not have any cash to give her a tip and I plan to remedy that this week when I am out running errands.
Though it was very nice of them to not charge me for the dinner after the wait and everyone else giving up. However, if the timing was right, they should have told me of the vehicle issue when I called and I would have picked up the food. I know these things happen, but nothing was mentioned. Another option was to call me and let me know of the delay and give me the option to pick up the food. This was the failure that is upsetting. I will go back to China Bros, but I will likely choose takeout.
ORIGINAL POST Wow! This is not your common scoop and go Chinese food. They cook everything fresh and the have a great menu. Even better, they have delivery if you live with three miles. There's an option to pizza if you do not want to deal with terrible Menifee traffic.
The portions can be two, if not three meals and everything has been delicious. The fried rice is also incredible - I'm addicted!
People have obviously discovered how good the food is because they have been packed. I went to get something to go and it was standing room only. I will stick with delivery until the newness wears off (if it does). Menifee was seriously lacking good Chinese food until now. Others...
Read moreRelatively new Chinese place that offers delivery. Before we use to order from Red Ginger, which is located in Temecula. Red Ginger charges $10 for delivery, plus the assumed driver tip. Bad proposition after a couple of times, specially with their uneven food. We also tried a couple more that deliver, but the truth of the matter, it was never specially good food. When China Bros announced via Yelp they were open, and delivered food, it did not take a long time for us to try a tentative order. To check their quality, sort of speak. At first prices appeared more affordable, but in the end, amount sent and overall satisfaction, dispelled that notion. Food tried: Egg Rolls, 3 orders, at $1.95 each. Peppery, nicely crunchy, and not a bad roll for those who like their vegetable rolls. 4 Stars. House Fried Rice, $7.95? Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, plus usual veggies found in this very common of Chinese offerings. Not great, just average. 3.5 Stars. Shrimp Fried Rice, $7.95 Shrimp in fair amount, and just like the other fried rice, average in taste. 3.5 Stars. BBQ Sliced Pork, $5.75. Decent, a little on the chewy side, not soaking on that deep dark sweet sauce, which is a positive for sure, but that was it for the quality of this dish. 3.5 Stars. Won Ton Soup, $6.75 per container. We ordered 3. Salty, murky broth. Wontons with a little more meat than usual. Plenty of wontons that the noodle side came apart all over the soup. Chicken, a few more shrimp than usual, a little pork, and loads of cabbage, and few other veggies. 3.5 Stars. Seafood Soup, $6.75. Not great, but not bad. Broth with no distinctive flavor, sort of bland. Plenty of Tofu and imitation crab. 3.5 Stars. The total was $61+, plus $4 gratuity for the driver. Driver brought his portable credit card device, so we charged the the...
Read moreFirst time we went the food SUPER good!!! But they rush you while taking your order. This time the person who took our order was texting as we stood there waiting for him to take our order, even as we were ordering he stopped to text in between and after every thing we said he kepy giving a us total when we weren't even done ordering and kept getting back on his phone as he read our total each time. We were rushed again while ordering. The food was not that great either! I asked for just a container of teriyaki chicken and he made me get a bowl of veggies and teriyaki chicken when ALL I wanted was the chicken - a side of teriyaki chicken and was told I couldn't get a side.....very bizarre when other places you can get a side and pay for it no problem. The chicken teriyaki was really really watery and the chicken smelled odd. Their potstickers weren't as well flavored as the last time either. The chow main barely had any cabbage like it normally does and it was unflavorful. The cashew chicken had literally 4 small pieces of chicken in my entire styrofoam box! I thought thia place was good but this time around it has REALLY gona down hill. Sadly, I won't be spending any...
