Was in the neighborhood & was getting hungry, sho I just opened Yelp to see what was best me low & behold Dibella's was thee 1st on my list sho since I haven't been here before I just gave it a try. Was greeted with a friendly "Hi what what you like?" Me "Hi, this is my 1st time here", so the employee gave me the run down on the sandwiches even told me I can build my own [3 meat] sandwich which was pretty neat, I'm horrible at getting employee's names he was great I took my time & he didn't rush me at all, what 1st caught my eye was the steak sub & the chicken sub but I decided to go with the medium sized meatball sub on sesame seed bread, I'm glad they have that option because I liiiive sesame seed bread.
The meatballs were cut in half but was given full size meatballs which were pretty big size next to Subway's meatballs almost twice the size, I didn't have to tell them light or hold the sauce like I do at Subway, well I guess Subway puts a lot of sauce to it because their meatballs lack taste, enough on Subway, the meatballs & sauce were so flavorful it was a great sub, the bread was delicious it was packed from end to end with meatballs it was big enough for 2 I took the other half for later or the next day but to no avail I went to eat it the next day mt daughter had devoured it saying "damn that was a great sandwich, thanks" I just had to laugh "you're welcome".
The restaurant was very clean I loved the pictures on the walls or felt very nostalgic like I was back in the era of the pictures were taken.
My next visit which I'll probably go soon I'll most likely go with the cheesesteak sub. Next time I'll take a picture of my sub...
Subway take notes on their bread selection add sesame seed...
Read moreI had the most unbelievably bad experience with a staff member at this store. She was rude and acted like a child throughout the relatively simple process of making our sandwiches. She then threw them on the counter at us knocking the bag over and stomped away like a pouting child, it was unreal!
It gets better though, she then intercepted my calls not allowing us to speak with management. I attempted to call a half dozen times through the day and following day, with no luck. I eventually spoke with a "manager" but I'm not honestly sure if that was an actual manager. We landed at a resolution of them rebating my card back which never happened. I suspect just like they were incepting and shutting down my initial calls, this individual was pretending to be a manager.
Avoid this store at all cost and Adeya is literally the rudest individual I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I'll keep pursing my conversation with the district manager but wanted to ensure I posted publicly as I don't seem to be getting much traction.
I NEED A DISTRICT MANAGER TO CALL OR PROVIDE A PHONE NUMBER I CAN CALL THEM AT. Thank you!
And PS - I friggin LOVE DIBELLAS! I live in GA and have my father ship the subs to me from time to time because I can't find anything like DiBellas here. I took my girlfriend there upon arriving in OH excited to share their delightful sandwiches only to be treated like human garbage by a woman that apparently gets off on wielding her sandwich making powers! What a bizarre experience that was, in any instance I'll pursue it as long as needed for them to...
Read moreMy first two DiBella's experiences were at work - my boss ordered us box lunches (cold subs) the first time (gross, hard, crumbly, tasteless bread), a (cold) sub tray the second time (much better, fresher bread).
Today I went into the restaurant with my mom & we both got hot subs. Mom got a cheesesteak & she liked it, she said there was a good amount of meat but that it needed more cheese & peppers/onions.
I got the BBQ chicken cowboy thing & it was pure garbage. Hardly any (tasteless) meat, mostly just giant glops of BBQ sauce with my veg choices mixed in. It tasted awful. I spent $11 on it & barely ate half of it. AWFUL.
The pasta & potato salad were inedible - it was about 80% sugar, waaaaaaaaaay too sweet. We brought them home to try to save them (rinse the sugary dressing stuff off of them & use our own dressings) because we spent $5 on them.
IF I ever go back, I will order a cold sub & see how that goes, but honestly, I doubt I'll bother. Subway is cheaper & at least as good as DiBella's. Jersey Mikes is about the same price & better. Dave's Cosmic Subs is better. Penn Station is better (& they have delicious fries & lemonade).
TL; DR - Literally the worst sub I...
