His new biz venture facing a still-born death, client work dried up, this reviewer, the sun surely not at his back, but radiating before him and causing, along with financial pressures, not a little sweat, sees an early, dark winter before him. Then it’s time for a trip to the Meridian Food Bank.

The MFB operates smoothly. Having been on-boarded by a pleasant, competent admin, he can now bring his vehicle in-line to be loaded by cheery vols. Very grateful for the foodstuffs, given with care by an empathetic crew who know the shoe could be on the other foot. It could be that even more than the caloric shot-in-the-arm, this newfound capacity to prepare a variety of healthy meals has imparted such an essential ingredient for success : HOPE.

They give good produce and prepackaged food but my husband and I went on Monday 10/9/23 and they gave us grilled chicken and we had it for lunch and about 6 hours later we got so sick and we’ve been sick for 2 days and both of us had to miss 2 days of work.

Just because we’re poor right now doesn’t mean we don’t deserve to eat good meat. The package said 10/6/23 but we assumed it had been frozen to keep it good to eat but we were mistaken.

Now we’re out 2 days each on pay.

Volunteers are welcoming and friendly. Lot of fod given out no cost, they are nice to deal with, generous and caring. Line runs very efficiently. Takes only 5 to 10 minutes to finish. They load groceries in to your vehicle for you. You get cake mix a d frosting f on your birthday. Food is local donat I s plus government subsidizes low income seniors with extra staples. Lovely experience all the way. Twice/ month access. Food given by family size. Gluten free/ lactose intolerant provided on request. ...
