This last weekend we visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time in a long time. We hadn't gone in a while because they had changed somethings on the menu that we weren't really impressed with. We enjoyed this visit though. To start I ordered their grand mimosa and it lives up to the name grand. It's made with good quality sparkling wine and it's huge! For appetizers we ordered the armadillo eggs and the cheese curds. Both were delicious. For my entree I ordered their Santa fe burger and was able to substitute the standard burger patty for a turkey burger. I loved the fact that they have turkey burgers as someone who doesn't eat red meat I often don't get have a burger when I'm out because most places don't offer anything other than your traditional beef patty. The toppings they have for their burgers are so unique, customizable, and flavorful. My husband really enjoyed his French dip sandwhich also. Both entrees were served with thick hand cut fries, which I really liked. I also ordered a side salad and I found that part of my meal to be disappointing. This item is definitely a hold over from the aforementioned menu changes. It was made with lettuce that's topped with your typical tomatoes and cucumbers, but instead of cheese and croutons... it's sprinkled with quinoa. I understand that they're probably trying to be unique and healthy but it gave the salad a strange texture and lacked flavor. With the exception of the salad our meal was really enjoyable and satisfying and we'll be back.

First time trying out the Ram, was delightfully suprised to see it not busy on valentines night. We sat in the bar and was greeted by the server/bartender ( can’t remember his name ) He seemed great at first but throughout the night it was a struggle to get refills on drinks and condiments, as it took us multiple times asking to receive it and even then, it would be a while before he brought it out. Food was good, and the bartender was a nice guy but he was not even close to being attentive when he had a pretty empty bar. We were over it when my boyfriend finally got a new beer and the head was half the glass, then we proceeded to wait 20+ for a box which we again had to ask for multiple times and he seemed to just ignore us and help every table around us and bring other tables boxes, just not us. We just left without our food after awhile. We were nice the whole time and tried to be understanding as we’ve worked in the restaurant service but for the price of everything, the service did not match.

It's so hot and uncomfortable in this restaurant that I thought of leaving shortly after we sat down. When my wife and I did leave, we let out a sigh of relief as we took in the fresher, cooler air, stating that it was cooler outside than in. This is a hot day in July in the Boise area. I shouldn't be sweating through dinner at a restaurant. This reason alone will keep us from coming back, which is sad because the food is pretty good. The waiters here were fantastic, especially the manager who greeted us and sat us at our table. Great job! He even mentioned that one section is even hotter than where we sat. The beer I had was amazingly cold, crisp, and refreshing. Clearwater Kolsch is such a good beer. It was probably made even better because of the immense heat inside. If you want people to fill your seats again and again, they have to be comfortable. The people that like it this hot are NOT the norm. Management here needs to get it figured out. I hope they do. Cheers!

This was a terrible experience primarily because of the manager on duty. The server was very complacent and didn’t want to actually provide good service. Anything we asked it was a no or we don’t do that and he was incorrect. It was hard for him to put much effort in. Multiple things went wrong and we tried to explain to the manager, she did not care. She was rude, argumentative, allowed her team members to disrespect us. When telling her she omitted ‘idc vibes’ she rudely just argued. She blamed us for having specific requests and said that she should not have accommodated…she blamed us for ordering a certain type of bread because they didn’t have it, yet we had no idea and the server took the order and did not tell us. We were missing a dessert to go and didn’t want it any longer after needing to confront her reasonably and she then allowed her team member to say “I’ll take it”… meaning the dessert. I explained to her after spending our hard earned money there and receiving this type of “service” was wrong she just simply did not care… food should not have been missing, being overcharged was unacceptable, constantly having to ask for the simplest of things… they need serious training or to stop working in customer service. I will be disputing the charges as we were severely overcharged and disrespected. I own businesses and I would never treat people the way the manager did. Oh, and the manager complained to one of the adults in our party that we should have tipped more. And she called me rude. I wasn’t at all just sincerely letting her know about the issues and she just didn’t care. It was honestly really disheartening when the bill was $315 and we just wanted to have a nice meal...

Unfortunately, my Mother's Day dinner at the Ram left much to be desired, starting with how we were greeted to attempting to get an explanation on our bill. Yes, I did pick the Ram for a couple of reasons. 1) I could make a reservation, not that we needed one and 2) my husband just had had surgery, and he could dress down and not feel uncomfortable.

Food was decent but the service was sub-par. Spencer was not the friendliest, didn't make us feel like he actually cared about our business and pleasing us as customers. But the worst of all was when we went to pay the bill.

My husband used a $50 gift card we had, and my son was taking care of the balance of the meal. After the $50 was applied, we were not brought a bill with the balance. Spencer presented my son with the credit card payment device, the payment was made, my son was not given the opportunity to see the balance due, add a tip, see what he was paying for, was not asked to sign for the transaction and was not given a receipt afterwards. Spencer ADDED A 20% TIP on to the bill without my son approving, signing or actually seeing the receipt. When I went back in to question the situation it was basically a waste of my time.

Adding the 20% tip was extremely inappropriate for sure!!! Probably will scratch the Ram off our...
