Sunday brunch adventures brought us to Terri's Cafe today. This place was poppin this Sunday morning. We did have a 30 minute wait but we actually got sat pretty quickly. With it being so busy, it did take a minute for our server to get to us. She did stop by and acknowledge our table which was nice. I appreciate that she let us know she was aware of us.
She grabbed our drinks and took orders afterwards. Poor thing used 3 reusable tablets to take our order. That's a lot of tablets to carry just to take orders. I found it odd but maybe that's a new way of taking orders that I'm not used to.
Breakfast did take a while to be prepared. I noticed a few tables that got their food before us after being sat after us. It could have been that our table was a party of 7 but that still doesn't make sense to me. Why the delay for our table?
I grabbed the 2 eggs your way with bacon for breakfast. For my sides I grabbed fruit and country fries with a side of country gravy. The bacon was nice and crispy. The fruit was not quite ripe so it was a little hard but still sweet. The country fries and the gravy were a flop for me. The potatoes were over cooked and not seasoned. Some of the potatoes were so crunchy that it was inedible. One side of the potatoe was dark brown/overcooked and the other side was stark white. Like they cooked the potatoes all on one side and didn't flip them. I couldn't eat half of them cause they were so hard. The gravy didn't seem fresh. There was a chunky part of my gravy that they served me that looked like it had been sitting for a while. It was quite unappealing.
After eating at another local breakfast joint last week, they have set the bar incredibly high. Unfortunately today, this meal just didn't do it for me. The service was good and the vibe is nice but as a whole I don't know if I...

I came here on a whim. They were so friendly (genuine and not fake) and accommodating.y child was fussy so they prioritized getting me seated to suffice the beast.
They were quick to tend tables. Highly efficient staff. They prioritized child's food so he would stop crying. Service alone was impressive.
My waitress was Amber, and wow. She gave me the best table service I've ever experienced in any establishment. She was friendly courteous engaging and personable. She made great recommendations.
The food. Now that's next level. Quality taste and ingredients. The kitchen staff was on it. I could see them in sync and working in unison.
Their stuffed huckleberry toast, muah! 😘
So delicious and filling.
But the real winner was the Salmon Omelett. They cooked the hashbrowns to perfection in the manner in which I prefer them (soft, but not raw)
And to be frank. I never thought salmon and eggs would pair so beautifully. It was quite filling and the flavor profile hit my palettes in all the right ways. I've never enjoyed a more delicious savory dish in my life for breakfast than I did eating here.
10/10 would recommend.
Pricing is modest, but the experience combined with the satisfaction of a great tasting breakfast will having you coming...
Read moreThe servers are friendly and experienced, the menu, while extensive, is well executed and there is something for everybody. I’ve only been here for breakfast with others, so most of the photos reflect that. Lots of Eggs Benedict choices, I’ve only had the standard and its above average, so would also recommend. The Joe’s Special, a favorite from the SF and San Jose past as served at Original Joes is a nod to the original. Terri’s three egg version is a decent replica without all that visual of watching chefs all in a line cranking out brunch with flames from the cooking oil, steam coming off the fresh sauteed spinach and sausage adding to the enjoyment. The group I was with last time had very positive things to say about the French toast, the chicken fried steak and eggs, the turkey bacon wrap and French dip sandwich. I've also liked the Reuben, and recommend paying extra to get a side of onion rings instead of fries. Be prepared to sop up the juice from the meat, it’s not some dried out precooked version. You can substitute ground mustard instead of the traditional 1000 island dressing, just let the server know. Since going, I’m told the Monte Cristo is one of the best versions in the valley, so that’s on my to do list...
