Yesterday my husband and I went to this JJ location. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant. First, I have to say that they need to work on their customer service skills because they make you feel awkward as you're ordering as if you're wasting their time. A simple welcoming gesture can go a long way. Next, the sandwiches are overpriced. I didn't expect to pay over $30.00 for 2 meals. At least they were fast to make them. Let me tell you, we expected quality ingredients and were underwhelemd with the flavor. We might as well have gone to Subway for better customer service with more affordable and delicious sandwiches. Since it was a nice day, we opted to eat outside in the patio area. When I wanted to go back inside to grab some napkins, they locked 2 of the 3 doors closest to the patio from the outside and I had to walk all the way around to the front entrance opposite of the JJ patio just to get inside. I told them this and they just scoffed and offered no explanation to this nor did they unlock the doors for whatever reason. The 2nd time I needed to get back inside to use the restroom, the lady just shouted the door access code at me. I looked at her confused and she just guessed I needed to use it. I shrugged it off and thanked her. I proceeded to use the restroom. It is a single person restroom and it was very clean. As I was using the restroom, someone came and knocked on the door. I figured it might have been another customer trying to use the bathroom. I let them know it was occupied and proceeded to do my business. That sandwich definitely just went through me. I don't know what the heck was in that #9 meal, but my stomach did not agree with it. After I was finished, I went outside to my husband and asked if he saw any customers come in because I didn't see anyone else. He said no. That's when I realized the employees seemed to be timing my restroom use because I've never experienced this at ANY restaurant I've been to. I didn't even see any employees try to use the restroom after me. This JJ location makes you feel like you're wasting their time by eating and ordering there (and apparently using their restroom after already having paid your meal). No wonder it was empty. We definitely won't be returning to dine here. We were nothing short of respectful and cleaned up after ourselves. The people working here definitely need to brush up on conversational and...
Read moreOrdered here in early December 2016 on a Tuesday night, to get delivered to my house. Took over an hour to get to my house, which is literally half a mile away. Called the store after 45 minutes, and talked to a gentleman who said the order had left the store, and to hold on the other line while he spoke to his driver. Came back onto my line, and apologized for the drivers fault of returning to the store with my order to receive more orders, and still delivered the other orders before mine. The gentleman was polite, and apologized again, said he'd credit my account for both sandwiches. That seems okay to me, because I'm a reasonable human being. The driver showed up at about an hour and 10 minutes after I ordered it, but I figured, hey its okay I've got the next ones for free. The driver didn't seem to care, and wasn't polite or apologetic whatsoever. So I go into the store on the evening of December 27th, 2016 to get my free sandwiches. I don't want to get delivery again, because of the ridiculousness I dealt with last time. I go in, give them my phone number, so I can redeem my free sandwiches. Was told I only got credited for one sandwich, which is a mistake. I explained what had happened last time I ordered, and they said they couldn't really do much else for me. I will never order Jimmy John's ever again in my life, from any store after this craziness. Freaky fast shouldn't be your motto, if you take that long to deliver, and can't even keep your word on giving me my next...
Read moreI've been ordering from this JJ's for a while and it's usually been pretty spot on. I order the same thing every time: a country club with extra tomato, and a bootlegger club with extra turkey and light lettuce / extra mayo. I've always thought the extra turkey was a bit of a rip off as it never seems to be worth an extra 4 bucks or whatever it is, but I order it anyways. Today, they sent me two sandwiches, one was correct - the country club. The other one had provolone on it somehow, and had what looked like 4 slices of meat on the whole sandwich. Almost insultingly, they mislabeled the sandwiches, so I got to have fun trying to figure that one out before I even realized they botched the bootlegger. So I call the store to complain, and a very understanding and patient manager tells me that there's a new employee that is making some mistakes and she will fix the order and send it out in an hour when the driver is available. An hour passes, and this ends up on my doorstep. Two shreds of lettuce (they take "light" VERY seriously apparently), and two sad tomatoes in a sea of mayonnaise.
I expected, perhaps foolishly, that after explaining to a customer that there are some problems going on and it would be fixed, the manager might have checked the work of the team members to be absolutely sure the sandwich was correct before sending it out again. I apparently expect too much. I want so much to be done with this store. Tell me manager or owner, is this how you operate...
