Tsing Tao Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Mesa

My father recommended this place to me when we where going out to get dinner, now I'm not a big fan of Chinese food but my dad wouldn't shut up about it so we went by and I grabbed a menu and went back to the truck to decide what to order, I was a bit skeptical at first because one thing I have a problem with Chinese food was that certain restaurants(Panda Express for example) charge a bundle for just a small quantity just for the simply stuff like orange chick and what not but at this place you get what you pay for. My father and I ordered the sweet and sour chicken which is just breaded chicken fried but the quality of the chicken was astounding(As far as take out goes) and the sauce just put the flavor on a whole new level and my one and only complaint is that they give you more than enough sauce.Now to most of the whiny complainers, this place is just a simple mom and pop take out not a 5 star restaurant, when you place an order try to make it simple and don't order something on the menu that you are unsure about and it doesn't hurt to ask what certain items are on the menu. Used to be the best Chinese takeout. Joe the owner is no longer there and the quality has gone downhill. I have given it 3 different times since he left. His wife was not there either, just a young lady that can barely speak English. I told her I wanted Won Ton soup as always, but she said I needed to choose between Eggdrop and Hot & Soup. I really don’t like Eggdrop. I called Joe at his new restaurant once, and he made good on it, but after 3 times over a period of time, I will NOT be going back for the Seeet and Sour Lunch Special, it contained almost no meat just fried batter with no meat at all sometimes. We used to travel 30 minutes one way, but no more. It used to be great but when Joe left and opened up his new restaurant it has never been any good since then. I feel badly. Also the Sweet sauce is a tiny cup, not as much as it used to be. Raise your price, but don’t serve poor quality food just to save a little money. So today i order 2 linch special, the orange chicken was too hard and dried out. So i call them for a replacement the lady on the phone said sure no problem. So the plate came with meatless fried frice and the orange chicken. I brought the plate back the lady says no you can kept it it had the 2 items . So she comes and hand me a container with orange ck only. Why would you not think you needed to replace my whole meal i didnt buy orange ck separtly it came as a lunch . So i went home with the rice brought it back and you wanted me to take it back home scape it from the old container and eat it. The fact that i had to use my gas to come back warranted better service. Well they lost a customer today. I didnt complain cause you should just have common sense.
