Since it appears my original review was deleted, I’m posting this again.
This is for my experience back in January.
I wish I could say I had a great time at this venue and danced the night away, but sadly, that was not my experience. I came with a large party, whom all of us were friends with (and invited by) 2 of the DJs spinning there, and several people from our party were denied entry at the door.
When I say a large party, I mean like 30+ people. Majority of guests were dressed nice and would have been admitted in at other Sobe clubs, but they were rejected here for wearing trainers or some article of clothing the doorman didn’t like. I can’t believe that we’re still doing this type of pretentious nonsense in 2025 to build “exclusivity” when it’s literally just a speakeasy behind a pizza shop. Let’s not pretend this concept is original, innovative, or offers anything different that sets it apart from other Miami clubs.
To add injury to insult, this venue was also incredibly rude to my dj friends (one of which we were celebrating their birthday, hence the large party size), and abruptly ended their set after 20 minutes. These are individuals that are respected within the dance community, DJing at a variety venues, and are always welcoming and trying to build up the community.
I cannot take a venue seriously that behaves this way and treats patrons like garbage. The snobbery is so 2000’s, so get over yourself. Considering nightlife culture and venues are always at risk in Miami, you cannot afford to adopt this type attitude, because clubs disappear just as quickly as they arrive.
For those of us that did gain entry, we quickly exited once we learned about how our friends were being treated. We ended up hosting a house party with our group, even inviting some of the people standing in line at Beatrice to join us. I had way more fun surrounded amongst friends and a night filled with good vibes.
I have zero desire to ever return to Beatrice. It’s a place ran by jerks. I hope this place disappears...
Read moreA few days ago I was in South Beach in my hotel the Riviera suites was just two blocks from this incredible establishment. I checked it out on Wednesday. I joked with the guy behind the counter who wanted to offer me a Mexican Coca-Cola and I said no I can't stand the spice. He could not stop laughing. He said there is no spice and I said I'm a guy from Boston and we don't do this. LOL. The pizza was fantastic. The best crunch I have ever had associated with the pizza and the most incredible red sauce. I wanted more but I was full. So I thought well if I want more I'm going back and I did the next day. I was able to meet the manager Arnold who is an absolute delight with great enthusiastic energy. I told him how I told everybody back at the rooftop pool of my hotel you have got to go to this restaurant. The design is inviting and stimulates all the senses wonderfully. Regarding the young guy laughing about the spices in the Mexican Coca-Cola I want to say something. I know I will get his name wrong but I believe it's Augstin. I told him I would just go ahead and call him Armando. Lol. He is in Florida for a while from Argentina. This is the kind of young man that somebody as old as I am is hoping that he and others just like him will pave the way for the future. Presently the United States is not held in esteem worldwide because of the present administration. I won't live long enough to see what has unraveled in our democracy to return to a normalcy where everyone including all immigrants are welcome. The future is up to young people for those who live in the United States as well as Argentina and every other country. Our hope lies in them. I am so grateful to Augstin who inspires me. People like him make the world a better place. And Arnold makes my trip to Florida a better experience for his outstanding...
