Myn-Tu — Restaurant in Miami Beach

Booked a table on OpenTable... Although confirmed then, I received a voicemail to call back to confirm the next morning. Although I called back promptly twice, no-one answered the call, and my rezzie was cancelled. An hour before, I got a lady on the phone and she said she "would try and fit us in". When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told I needed to provide a vest for my service dog, and paperwork to show I needed one. These are obviously both illegal requests under the ADA one would think competent restaurant staff should know, and when the manager Catia finally deigned to come to door after waiting for 10 minutes by the velvet rope outside, she reiterated these illegal requirements and said that they could make these demands because it is a private restaurant. It is sad to be hassled in this way, and nearby sushi resto Kosuki was a nicer alterative and took us as walk-ins with no issues... I haven't had this poor treatment from hospitality in many years down here, kind of shocking...

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS ALWAYS!!! I went there for my boyfriend’s dinner, food was good. When I gave my credit card to the server, NICOLE, she took it to the back and brought me back the receipt which had a total of $1000 and some change. I knew something was wrong because we did not order that much worth of food or drinks. I went to her computer and asked her for an itemized receipt and she started changing stuff on her computer and removing items. She then proceeds to say she needs her manager so they can give me a refund. I go back to my table and she brings me the receipt which was $411.51. THIS UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT tried to UPCHARGE ME almost 600$, just so she could get a better tip of course. Didn’t even tried to apologize or say it was a mistake. Not worth the drive to location, money, or time if you cannot dine in comfortably. Hostess threw us out, before being done with dessert and drinks, by saying our time in the table "expired" and more people were waiting for table. I had never heard of any "high end" restaurant doing that. Also, performer was supposed to start at 9pm, and they never did. A full room in restaurant for hours and no entertainment. Filet mignon was edible, not best I have had. Valet parking was a ridiculous $60. Dont get me wrong, for a great experience i will gladly pay whatever Valet cost....but experience here was not great. Seems this restaurant is handicapping their potential by staying at a space restricted location. Tables barely fit inside restaurant, DJ was crammed behind a table. The entry way is where people stand near bar, difficult to walk in and out once crowd forms. Not interested in returning for a rushed dinner where you are expected to...
