I hate writing negative reviews being a business owner myself…but it was my 50th birthday and my best friend and I wanted somewhere different to eat & enjoy in Miami Beach. We wanted it to be fun, entertaining but most of all the quality of food is extremely important to us as we are both foodies.

Here’s my review: We had a reservation at 9pm, but we got there early- we were seated right away - a perfect start to the night. Our server was nice, but within minutes, the atmosphere took a turn and quickly filled with a crowd of patrons that they allowed to stand around the bar next to us…The amount of people they allowed in was obnoxious. The servers and other workers could barely move It was also very loud,…so loud that my friend and I could not carry a conversation at all. The tables around us were all on their phones because they obviously could not hear each other either. We ordered right away when we sat down, thank goodness, and our hummus appetizer arrived promptly - it was really good…the pomegranates gave it a sweet touch and I loved them. After we finished our appetizer, I asked one of the “service workers” who took our app plates if I could get a clean one w/new silverware. He said, “no problem” - 5 minutes later our shared dinner plates arrive..still no plate…10 minutes go by, no “service workers”/ no servers in sight, no plate or silverware to eat my food…finally, I had to flag down my server as he rushed by to a different table to explain that they took my plate and that I also had nothing to eat with…he brought it back within a minute - I thanked him and still maintained a smile because I’m not trying to be “that one” ….I could tell he was extremely overwhelmed with his tables outside and inside and running around everywhere (except in our area)…Nevertheless, we were able to eat…we ordered the rock shrimp rice, short rib kebab and the creamed spinach. Creamed spinach with the feta cheese, my friend said was amazing. I’m not a huge fan of creamed spinach so I didn’t try any. I wanted to eat my short ribs because they looked really good. As far as, the Rock Shrimp Rice and Short Rib Kebab - …let’s just say that both were very, very, very, very disappointing. The rice was extremely dry, tasted undercooked and lacked in flavor. The chicken skin was disgusting, tasted just like fryer oil. I barely took two bites of it. The short rib kebab looked good but was so overcooked it was like eating a piece of burnt wood. We left more than half the plate. The final kicker was waiting for someone to ask us how everything was…even though… I’m still the type of customer to say “everything is fine”…and just ask for the bill (even when the food is horrible)…no one and I MEAN NO ONE..came…not for a refill, not for can I get a Togo box, not “ would you like desserts”…we literally sat there for 45 minutes…waiting…I tried stopping my waiter 4 times before he seen me wave him down and go to the next table. I was getting incredibly frustrated - and, he still ignored me..🤦🏻‍♀️ Eventually, he came and I said I would like our bill please and if I could just pay right now. He was like I will bring you back the bill. I said, “I would just like to pay so we can leave”, he basically ignored me and went to the other table. Ugh. The final straw…again no apologies, no nothing- he says “I want you to know a 25% service charge has been added to your bill.” In my mind, I’m like what??? - what service??? If I’m paying an additional 25% for a meal that I barely ate, I should have had good service. I didn’t say anything , tried calling today to let a manager know, I left a message. Hopefully, they respond because they need to know. Seriously horrible, horrible experience. I likely still would have tipped but it would have been no more than 15%. And, I’m a big tipper. It’s definitely not a good restaurant at 4.5 stars…maybe more like an expensive 3 star restaurant. Definitely lacked in the service department,...
