This is a pretty bad place to stay. If it was around $30/nt. it would be okay, but it’s not, of course.
We arrived at the hotel at about 8:30 in the morning that we were to check in. My family of four had taken a 23:25 flight from Las Vegas, so we had all been up for nearly 24 hours by that time. Google Maps says that they have a free airport shuttle, so we called six times from home to get information, but the calls would not connect. We called again when we landed and discovered that calls from the Miami area will connect. We were told that there is no airport shuttle because of COVID-19, which we knew wasn’t true. A lot of companies have been using COVID-19 as an excuse to cut their perks but still advertise them. They don’t require, or even ask, people to wear masks at this property, so we know that the lack of shuttle is not because of the pandemic. They probably never had one.
Thankfully, they were kind enough to allow us to check in at around 11:00 a.m., which earned them a star.
Another thing that they don’t have that’s advertised on their Web site is breakfast. Not a cheap continental breakfast, not a cup of coffee… nothing! They only point out some eateries in the area.
The MAIN thing that they don’t have is air conditioning. As I lay typing this next the open, screenless window at 2:00 a.m. because it’s too uncomfortable to sleep, it’s 22 November, 74°F, “wind” at 2 mi/hr, and 92% HUMIDITY! That’s completely unheard of where we live, so we’re not used to it at all. There has to be air conditioning in situations like this. Much earlier in the day, my 21-year-old daughter asked the 30-something desk clerk, who tried to hit on her because he thought she “was 15 or 16” (his words), about the AC and he told her “they” were repairing it at that moment. Apparently “they” couldn’t fix it.
The best thing for this property would be to raze it and build a modern hotel in its place. I’m an historian, so the 1930s motif of the place, complete with no air conditioning, was kind of nostalgic for a few minutes, but “dem days is done”.
The location is great, but that’s about all it has...

I will not recommend that place for anybody to stay during their vacation. I had a very bad and uncomfortable stay there. You can control the room temperature, I mean there is no thermostat to regulate the air condition. I already know its hot out there but I want to control the room temperature how I want it. Every room is very Super Cold 24/7. The management and staff told me and my other guest to use an art on the wall to block the vent. smh. I had to request for Clean towels and Clean bedsheets every morning because they do not come and change them. The TVs in the room do not have a remote. All the rooms uses 1 single remote ,so after 1 room request for a TV remote, you will have to return it back to the front Desk so that the next guest at the hotel in a different room will go and request for it. Their Hospitality is not good and I will never go back there anymore. 5.when it comes to security deposit, it takes more than 5 to 6 business days and they will charge you extra dollars without your notice and approval. That is not how anybody should treat their customers. Security wise , please do not go there to stay if you do not value your belongings. I stayed for 4days only to find out that I had to go buy my own Toilet tissues and paper towels since they refuse to give when you call or go to the front Desk. I don't want to rate this review because they don't even deserver 1 Star. I really think they do not need to be called a 1 STAR HOTEL. A Motel is much better and wayyyy much cleaner than them. The whole management needs education and training on how to stay in business and how to treat hotel guests. I took time out of my vacation to type every above to let anyone planning to go stay there, to know what kind of experience they will be expecting. The check-in TIME was pushed back almost 45mins and they...
Read moreJust stay away from this place. We booked through Priceline for a king room. When we got to the hotel, they had us in a room with 2 double beds. I brought this up with the man working the front desk and he couldn’t have cared less, made no attempt to correct the issue, and was altogether rude. Then when we got to the room to take showers, the shower wasn’t draining and I had to turn the water all the way to hot to have a decently comfortable showe. Laid down to sleep, it was like sleeping on literal springs with a sheet over it. It was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The walls were also paper thin, to the point that I could hear the people in the next room when they used the bathroom. We had no choice but to stay. I wish we would have been able to check out and go anywhere else.
To their credit: they did send someone up to fix the shower drain the next morning and he got it working. It was also nice to have 2 beach chairs each day of our stay.
After our stay: Received a $22 charge from the hotel. Tried to call twice, no answer. Sent an email through the website and someone replied from the reservation department and CCed guest services saying someone would contact me within 24 hours. Waited 24 hours and sent another email, no response. Attempted to call again, no answer. You can’t even leave a voicemail because the inbox is full. I sent another email saying I was considering disputing the charge with my credit card company. The reservation line contacted me again and apologized for the delay, but still no response from guest services. I waited another two days (over a week at this point) with no response before I finally just disputed the charge. I still have no idea what it was for.
Update (2/19/2023): through a dispute case with our credit card company, we finally figured out that they charged us for “room damages”. Which is not possible as nothing was messed up during our stay. I will be contacting the hotel again now that I have new...
