This place had the worst service ever! We ordered 2 sandwiches and a couple papa rellenas to go which is normally a pretty fast simple order and it took nearly 40 minutes for them to even start making them. At least 3 other couples came in after us and ordered much later than us and they all received their food before we even saw ours being made. We tried to be patient and ask nicely how much longer until the food would be ready and we were completely ignored. The woman would make eye contact but wouldn't respond and even had to reach over us to charge other customers that ordered to go after us and had received their food. The woman finally started making our sandwiches and they looked terrible, completely sloppy and thrown together. How can you mess up a sandwich?! I am normally very understanding but this was ridiculous. When we finally received our food, we opened it to make sure everything was right and the papa rellenas looked disgusting. They were smashed and falling apart. We showed them to her and she didn't seem to care at all. I have never seen such a lack of interest in service in my life. I will never go back to this...
Read moreA perfect medianoche (midnight sandwich)! Stuffed full and pressed with great flavor. I split the medianoche and the Cuban but i prefer the medianoche myself. It's a bit richer because of the sweetness and butteriness of the bread so maybe it's a lot to eat the whole one for some people. Maduros also done well, and I tried the tamale which was huge and had thick chunks of meat inside. Their hot sauce is also really tasty.
For dessert I tried both the caramel cake and the tres leches. Tres leches was pretty standard, but solid and the caramel cake was basically yellow cake with dulce de leche icing which is simple but tasty.
Service is fast, sandwiches are made to order and prices are reasonable especially considering the area. Seating is quite limited but we went at an off time (3ish ) and were able to sit 8 at the counter. Will definitely be back when I'm...
