If you're searching for a dining experience that embodies the spirit of Miami Beach, look no further than "Call Me Gaby." I recently celebrated my birthday there with 17 of my closest friends and the experience was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, accommodating our large group with ease. They seated us on their newly opened second floor, a spectacular space that was both chic and comfortable, providing the perfect backdrop for our birthday feast.
Now, let's talk about the food. Simply put, it was extraordinary. From the miniature gourmet "pinsas" that were as pleasing to the palate as they were to the eye, to the succulent meatballs and the melt-in-your-mouth short ribs ravioli, every dish was a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. Each bite was a journey of flavors, textures, and aromas, leaving us eagerly anticipating the next.
Amidst the delightful chaos of our large party, Linda, our waitress, stood out as a beacon of professionalism and charm. With a smile that never faltered, she expertly navigated our diverse orders, ensuring that each dish arrived timely and correctly. Her attentive service was matched by her friendly demeanor, making us feel not just like customers, but valued guests.
I also must commend the upstairs manager, Jason, whose dedication to ensuring our night went smoothly was truly impressive. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction, contributing significantly to the success of our night.
"Call Me Gaby" is more than just a restaurant. It's a place where delicious cuisine, exceptional service, and a vibrant ambiance converge to create an unforgettable dining experience. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I'm already excited for my next visit. If you're ever in Miami Beach and looking for a culinary adventure that truly celebrates the essence of Italian cuisine, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Call Me Gaby. You won't be...
Read moreWe had a table outside and then suddenly a heavy rain fell right after we received our main courses. We started getting wet, and no one came and offered us to move inside. It was 5.30 pm inside was nearly empty. We got wet because umbrellas were not enough to cover us. We decided to get in and look for a table. 2 of us went in to check the table and 3 of us kept waiting outside. After that, we saw a waiter at the entrance of the interior part, and we told him we wanted to get inside. He told us he was not sure, he had to look and we had to wait around 10mins. Meanwhile, all our main courses got cold of course. Our friends found a table inside (no one helped them as well they asked if they could sit on one of the empty tables) they called us and told us to come inside. We took our plates and wine glasses ourselves and moved in. Water bottles and glasses were left behind. Once we sat inside they told us that we had to leave the table in half an hour. They brought our water glasses and left all of them together at the edge of the table without knowing which ones whose. And then the waiter came and asked us if want to order another bottle of water and wine. We couldn’t have started eating our food yet, they were already cold. In the end, we started eating cold foods and no water! We were unhappy of course, and we informed the waiter in a very kind way about our little disappointment while we asked for the check. We received the check and %20 service was already charged, bottle of water that we couldn’t drink was charged as well. There was also an extra %2 charge. So I don’t say the rain was their fault but they were completely not interested in our experience but only the money we spent. I mean cold food a bottle of water we paid for but couldn't drink. They could at least offer a bottle of water to let us drink with our very cold pasta! A real restaurant would offer to replace the places but we would be okay even for a bottle of water that we couldn’t drink...
Read moreWe had booked a table online in advance, however the service felt very lacking for spending over $100+ per person.
We weren’t asked if we wanted to sit outside even though it was relatively empty. Instead the hostess proceeded to walk quickly upstairs while expecting us to follow without any prompts?
Once upstairs, our waitress was rushed - barely answered any questions about the food or drinks. I asked for a non-sweet cocktail recommendation but had to go through each one and ask this one? Until she finally said yes to one. It was very sweet but she didn’t bother to check if I liked it. For a $24 drink with gratuity.
We ordered the burrata, a pasta, and a pizza. The biggest no no at any restaurant is bad food pacing. Our mains arrived before we were barely halfway through our appetizers and it seemed like they were only interested in clearing the table. I actually asked if I could place an order for a second appetizer but was told our main was already being cooked and would be arriving before the second appetizer so they discourage that. “It’s the same oven”??
Our hostess dropped of a couple unlabeled bottles on our table, and I had to ask her what they were the second time she came around to which she explained spicy olive oil, oil, and balsamic. How were we supposed to know that?
She dropped off the dessert menu and then never followed up to see if we wanted anything, coming by with the check.
The service was so rushed, it felt like they were trying to hit a sales goal instead of providing a good experience. I’m not paying $45 for a small pizza LOL it should be a 2-2.5 hr dinner instead we were out $200 in less than 1.5...
