The appetizer on the house (toasted corn and plantain chips with homemade sauces) was good.
I ordered seafood stir-fry rice (Peruvian + Chinese) and a grilled lobster with two sides (white beans and salad). The seafood rice had overcooked seafood (calamari rings, a mussel, shrimps, octopus legs) which was hard to even chew and too much oyster sauce and sesame oil. To be honest, I don't see any hint of "Peruvian" and find it just a poorly cooked Chinese dish. The lobster was overcooked as well and it was really hard to take off and chew. The salad side was okay and the white beans were warmed up after taking them from a can.
The waitress was kind but she needs to learn English. What i didn't like about her is that she folded up the original detailed receipt and put it inside the bill holder. What she put on the bill holder showed the total amount only (without other details such as original charge amount, taxes, etc.) After checking the total, I got to ask myself why I was charged more than 70 dollars when the food price was 57 dollars. I checked the detailed receipt and it was saying 20% service charge added automaticaly... Now my question was "why do they ask for more tip after that kind of mandatory gratuity?"
The atmosphere was overall okay except...
Read moreI’m quite puzzled by the overwhelmingly positive reviews this restaurant has received. My family and I are Ceviche lovers (since we are from Lima-Peru) and consider ourselves food enthusiasts who love exploring new places based on recommendations and reviews. Unfortunately, our visit to Ceviche Peru Beach was a major letdown. Despite ordering three different types of Ceviche, we found ourselves unable to finish even a single bite. It was disappointing, especially considering the restaurant’s name suggests a focus on Ceviche! This experience has made us question the reliability of restaurant reviews.
The 4.9-star rating for this place feels misleading. The lack of flavor and freshness in the food was particularly disheartening. Their reviews appear highly questionable and likely inauthentic. It’s difficult to believe that they’ve amassed nearly 1000 glowing 5-star reviews. This situation raises suspicions that some businesses might be obtaining reviews through questionable means, and unfortunately, this business seems to be a case in point.
In conclusion, our visit was very dissatisfied and we hope that the restaurant can improve its Ceviche offerings to match the expectations set by its name and the reviews it...
Read moreCame for a nice dinner with my family (we’re all Peruvian), but, unfortunately, the food was disappointing, especially the ceviche which is claimed to be the best in Miami. I leave this review hoping that they read it and improve their dishes in the future!
Service was great! Our server, Samantha, was very kind and attentive.
Sadly, the ceviche must’ve been the worst part of our experience. We came to try it since their ceviche had great reviews, but it was absolutely flavorless. I couldn’t finish it because it just tasted like raw fish with watered down milk. Certainly needs to be improved, especially if they want to call their ceviche the best in Miami. I would not come here for ceviche.
Other dishes we ordered were Tallarín Saltado and Arroz Chaufa - Not amazing but they were pretty good. Their ajís (sauces) were delicious! Probably the most flavorful thing they had.
For drinks, we had Chicha Morada. It was really good! Nice chicha flavor with a hint of lime.
Overall, the food was lacking in flavor, and the prices were too high for the quality of their dishes. I feel bad to leave a review like this, but I write this honestly with the hopes that they take this feedback and improve...
