A satisfying, very affordable meal in North Beach is right here! This sister restaurant of Locura Marina next door has the more casual cuisine, as we found out, without ceviche. But your other Chifa and Peruvian staples can be found here. Their air conditioning had broken when we visited for an early dinner, so they had ceiling fans running and their door locked to prevent people from opening the door often and letting the cooler air out. We had to wait for over 20 minutes outside the front door in the humid weather in hopes of seeing someone coming out so that the door would be unlocked. We saw there was only one main server working on all of the tables in the restaurant, with another one popping in and joining the service well into our meal, so despite their seeing us outside, the staff did not let us in or immediately seat us when we came inside. We were talking about finding another restaurant in the area when the server told us to sit at a table she recently cleared. The ensuing meal turned out to be a little worth that wait!
We happened to come to the restaurant and be seated when many other tables were finishing their meal or were paying their bills. This meant the service was more prompt than we thought it would be, despite the two servers available for all the tables. We had the $15 all day lunch special which included an appetizer, an entree and a soft drink. I was able to get a chicha morada included with my meal, which was the ultimate Peruvian treat. By the way, we asked about the soup of the day and were told it is only available from Monday-Friday.
The Anticuchos were slightly tough to cut but well seasoned and grilled for what it is (presumably cow heart), and the potatoes that accompanied them were tender but firm on the outside from the grill. The Papa o Yuca Huancaina (also an appetizer) was filling from just one bite, from the well cooked yuca and creamy Huancaina sauce. I got the Kam Lau Wantan con Arroz Blanco, thinking it’s a nice combination plate of pork, chicken and shrimp. The tamarin sauce that dressed the stir fry was a little sweet for my taste, but I can see how its duck sauce like taste with soy sauce notes is pleasing to other diners. The fried ground chicken wantons were great with the thick sauce. I just wish there had been more filling!
Despite the air conditioning and staffing situation, the restaurant is a good choice for not just Peruvian food but a solid casual meal in all the touristy dining options in the North Beach area. Give it a try if you’re ever...
Read moreFrom the very first bite to the final sip, Locura 305 delivers an experience that goes far beyond just a meal—this is Peruvian soul on a plate, paired with service that feels like a heartfelt embrace.
The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish bursts with flavor, freshness, and precision. The ceviche was bright and bold, with that perfect citrus kick dancing alongside the freshest seafood. The lomo saltado—tender, juicy, and seasoned with love—made it hard to stop at one bite. And don’t even get me started on the sauces… they’re little miracles of flavor all on their own.
But what truly elevates Locura 305 is the warmth and care of the team. The service was not only attentive and professional, but genuinely kind. You can feel the pride behind every recommendation, every plate, every smile.
It’s rare to find a place that balances authenticity, creativity, and heartfelt hospitality so seamlessly—but Locura 305 does exactly that. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of culture, tradition, and passion.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to fall in love with Peruvian cuisine, or simply seeking a night of unforgettable flavors and good energy. I’ll absolutely be back—and bringing...
Read moreWe arrived at the place with the good experience of Locura Marina, only this is new and only meat, from the attention of the Venezuelan and Argentine girl everything was perfect, only at the time of the menu they did not have prices, we ordered several special discount dishes of the day that the owner attended us and suggested and it was she who took our order, we enjoyed the dinner very rich in Peruvian food, but at the time of payment where they were menu dishes of the day included drinks, dishes main dish and a second dish around $15 plus taxes...it turns out that it was not like that, charging extra amounts for secondary dishes and even more, almost a 20% Default on the bill that he did not know how to explain to us that it was extra to the tip, and where I also ended up charging for a dish that we verified twice before ordering that it was $19, I ended up charging $29, in short, the fact that the menus do not have prices, and then the extra charge without detail seems to me to be something wrong on the part of the restaurant We hope it improves, surely in the future we will see something better in it! From an invoice of 60$ to 75$ dollars from an estimated beginning we ended...
