Good afternoon ! I was last night with friends at Alma Rosa on Brickell, it was the first time and I liked the atmosphere that I thought was well decorated! My main complaint is definitely the customer service! The girl who was serving our table was extremely in a hurry, I didn't have enough time to choose my dish calmly, she kept speeding up, I asked for a drink and asked for 2 glasses of water and she didn't bring it, I had to ask for water 3 times! I found the menu confusing because it didn't contain pictures of the food and I wasn't aware of the portions, it could be more varied. I ordered a dish that came with spicy salsa I ordered the salsa separately because I didn't know how spicy it was and it came all together on the plate, because it took a while and I was hungry I didn't ask for the change at that time. And at all times the same girl who was serving seemed impatient and in a hurry! At all times she came to remove the glasses and I still hadn't finished my drink, along with my plate she brought a basket with tortillas, she just left it on the side and did not say that it was to accompany the dish, when I was already halfway through my plate she came and he said that there was a side dish, and one of the people who were at the table ordered a side of Mac and cheese and felt very sick in his stomach after eating, as soon as we left the restaurant, the person felt sick with nausea and even vomited. And it wasn't because of an alcoholic beverage because the person wasn't drinking alcohol! Another problem, without a doubt, I needed to use the men's bathroom and it was extremely dirty and with a bad odor, papers on the floor, and urine on the floor, a horrible smell, very dirty. Returning to the table, the girl continued to speed up the service, the feeling was that she wanted us to leave quickly, she kept taking everything off the table! A young man who was pouring water from a pitcher was extremely polite and welcoming. Another point that is visually beautiful but I did not find it safe are the presentations of girls performing with fire, they come very close to the tables, which can cause an accident in the loose hair of the women, and the fire often comes close to the decorative leaves on the ceiling from the restaurant, I've seen news in other places of accidents involving fire in closed places where several people lost their lives, I thought it was an unnecessary risk because if something goes wrong, the fire is very close to the customers at the tables, and often close to the ceiling when they raise their arms it's feedback for you! It may seem exaggerated but I didn't find anything safe for customers especially! Another thing, I don't think it's comfortable for the customer when Server imposes and puts a mandatory 20% gratuity. The customer gives the tip according to the experience he had at the restaurant in this case. I found it very unpleasant as if we weren't going to give tips, so it forces you to pay the 20% of the gratuity. For being the first time in this place, I found the experience to be very bad as a whole! Where they rush you to eat right away and leave with rude service and still force you to pay 20% gratuity. Everything I said is not a complaint but a feedback to improve these...
Read moreI came in for happy hour with my dog on Thursday night, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles. This restaurant is so welcoming, and the vibe is really chill, but lively. I was offered a complimentary teacup size soup of either shrimp or beef. I chose the shrimp and it was the perfect blend of spicy and shrimp. I ordered the Crazy Love drink (vodka, hibiscus, lime, and raspberries) and the Mini Chilaquiles on their happy hour menu to eat. Excellent portion, and every chip was not left without sauce. It was crunchy, savory, spicy, full of green salsa, and topped with cheese, crema, and onions. With every bite, the flavor builds, and it was just perfection to me.
My waitress, Lina, was really attentive even when the restaurant started getting full. She never forgot me! I also ordered the Alma Rosa (vodka, lychee, lime, and hibiscus). The presentation and taste was amazing. I was surprised when it came, since it was smoking! It has a subtle taste of lychee, that wasn’t too sweet. Lastly, I had the Jalapeño Smash (tequila based). And at the end of my meal, she brought me a little bowl and washcloth to clean my hands, which was surprisingly thoughtful. I honestly thought I was going to feel out of place there, but it really goes to show how you really shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The prices for food and drinks are fairly decent, considering its location. If you don’t want to spend too much, the happy hour menu is definitely for you! My overall experience there was beyond great, and I’m definitely coming...
Read moreThis casual restaurant hits the sweet spot — relaxed vibes, friendly service, and food that’s way better than you’d expect for the laid-back setting. It’s the kind of place you can walk into in jeans and a T-shirt, sit down, and still enjoy a meal that feels thoughtful, fresh, and totally satisfying.
We started with the loaded nachos — warm chips piled high with melty cheese, seasoned ground beef, pico de gallo, jalapeños, and sour cream. Great for sharing and even better for setting the tone. The buffalo chicken flatbread came next — crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of heat.
I went with the classic club sandwich, which was stacked high with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and a killer garlic aioli on toasted sourdough. Every bite was fresh and balanced. My friend had the chicken and avocado wrap with a side of sweet potato fries — light but filling, and full of flavor.
Drinks included a solid selection of local beers and a refreshing strawberry lemonade that hit the spot. For dessert, we split the warm brownie sundae — rich, gooey, and served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Classic and delicious.
The service was upbeat, fast, and never overbearing — exactly what you want in a casual dining spot. Whether you're here for a quick lunch, an easy dinner with friends, or a chill date night, this restaurant delivers comfort and quality without the fuss. A true...
