This unassuming Asian restaurant is located literally on a corner across from a Home Depot on Sunrise. I didn't plan to eat lunch here but the graffiti-like artwork of the building caught my eye while driving so I turned around stopped in. Parking was a bit tricky because there are only 4 spaces in the back of the building but luckily I found one space right away. Otherwise, you may have to park by Home Depot or across the street at your own risk.
I walked in and there were only 3 other tables with people but I didn't mind at all because I wanted something chill. The server handed me the lunch specials and their regular "oversized" size menu. They could pretty much prepare any Asian dish you desire from looking at the extensive menu but I was craving for Pad Thai which was only $10 including spring roll and soda. Wow! What a great deal and the portion was decent too. Then I saw the Sushi Bento Box Specials. What? Only $13 for 16 pieces of sushi. Sign me up! I knew it was too much for one person but I just couldn't simply pass a deal, lol :) The Pad Thai was very tasty and the sushi pieces were decent as well. Just don't expect them to be high grade but for the money, they were acceptable. They have different sushi combination specials ranging from $12 to $23 and it comes with miso soup. The lunch specials are all $10 and they also offer curry, fried rice, and garlic sauce entrees just to name a few.
For merely $25, I had very filling lunch and the service was good as well. I'll be back when I'm in the area but will probably bring a friend so I don't go...
Read moreNow this review is based purely on my experience and should not be taken as an intangible fact. However, I found parking to be very stressfull and inaccesable which might just be their greatest downfall. Since it is at a corner (Go figure) and has an immensly spacious, grandious and vastfull parking lot of 3 spots, plus one handicapped; It also happens to have multiple dead-ends nearby to jump on the only accesable road (Which so happens to also be a one-way).
Yet you would suspect that the harder the challenge the greater the prize, right? Well not in my experience.
The only server on the spot was rather annoyed by my pressence which she didnt try to hide, to the point that I took my last three pieces of sushi wrapped up in a napkin and my un-finished bottle of Saki and walked out (After paying of course.)
Now I must point out that the inside of the establishment was very well decorated and looked brand new, with finely carved furniture, well varnished and very thematic. The food itself was to die for, the preparation and presentation were masterfull, nothing short of the greatest sushi restaurants of Florida.
But the service and the spitefull glares were a killer for me. Sorry...
Read moreFood: Always fresh with the perfect combination of flavors. I’ve had a variety of their soups, sushi rolls, lobster dishes, seaweed crab meat salad and so on. Several beers and wines to choose from with 2 for 1 specials. I go to this hidden gem at least once a week. I’ve taken family, friends and have recommended it to coworkers. Customer service: Amazing, I’m greeted by the chef who knows me from being a regular that we greet each other with a “hello, good to see you” and a traditional, respectful bow. The energy is awesome. Waitresses are quick and very polite. Price: This restaurant gives you the biggest bang for your buck. The prices are great. A homerun. Decor: They really decorated well, with the flat red and black and other decorative items. Made the space feel pleasant. So, the overall experience is an A+ on all mentioned categories. Check it out,...
