I had a less than satisfactory experience as a customer at this gym. I encountered some challenges with the staff's knowledge of the gym's policies and procedures. I had requested to freeze my account for an indefinite period and communicated this to the staff while at the gym. Unfortunately, my request was not handled appropriately, and without notifying me, they continued to deduct monthly payments for the next three months. It was only after I noticed this that I inquired about the reason behind it. I was informed that I needed to email them to freeze my account, which was not explicitly stated in the contract upon review. After some back and forth, the owner agreed to credit me for two months but withheld the credit for the third month, citing a 30-day cancellation policy.
Upon my return to the gym, the credit for the two months was applied. However, before the start of the second month, I requested the cancellation of my membership, this time via email. To my surprise, they informed me that an additional month would be deducted from my account, as stated in the contract, to allow me one more month at the gym. However, upon reviewing the contract again, I found no mention of such a requirement.
Due to the unfair treatment I experienced, I am considering taking legal action against the gym for repeatedly misleading me regarding their policies. It is evident that the staff is not adequately trained to handle such matters. I would advise potential members to exercise caution when signing up for a membership...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave been going 2-3 times per week to the 8 am CardioBox class (despite the fact that both their web site and door still say, incorrectly, that they do not open before 10). Started going to PUNCH simply because nearby FIGHT CLUB does not have AC and is unbearably hot in the summer. PUNCH has great AC, and is also bright, cheerful, and CLEAN. This probably explains why PUNCH seems to attract even more women than men. I plan to stay at PUNCH because I really like the morning class. The owner, Ricardo, or Shaleem teach this class and are very good motivators. The morning class is small (3-8 people) so everyone gets a 3 min round of pad work with the instructor, which he customizes for each person. In addition to Cardiobox, there is a great Saturday morning Yoga class for loosing up and stretching out. Lastly, PUNCH has a good range of strength training machines that are very high quality, in case you have any energy left after the class. There is plenty of street parking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely love this gym! It's hands down the best cardio boxing spot in town. The atmosphere is refreshingly unpretentious, with incredible instructors and staff who truly care about your progress.
The music is always pumping, creating an energetic vibe that gets you fired up for your workout. I appreciate the diverse mix of age groups hereāeveryone feels welcome and motivated.
Although I mainly focus on cardio boxing, they also offer a fantastic selection of weightlifting equipment in their regular gym area. It's clear that every instructor here is passionate and dedicated; they make you feel like part of the family from day one.
Big shout out to Ellie, Gonzalo, Alycia, and Albertāthey each bring their unique style and expertise, ensuring every session is dynamic and fun. I can't recommend it...
