Consentido needs to shut down immediately and have the entire front of house team go back to school and take a class on how to run a restaurant 101. The level of incompetence was through the roof all night. For context we went last night for Valentines Day so I understand if things take longer on a busy night or small mistakes are made. This experience was the worst dining experience of my life so I need to let you know that if you’re going on a weekend or busy night avoid this place.
First off, the hostess was pouring people water and bussing tables, and we saw a lot of people didn’t have their food so the place was obviously understaffed for the night. We didn’t get checked in for our reservation, we were just sat down.
Then it took a long time for anyone to come over and even begin anything so we had to flag her down until a guy came over and said “Are you ready to order?” He didn’t introduce himself or talk about the fact that the menu was pre-fixed and that there wasn’t even prices on the menu. Nothing about this on the website either so it was very confusing. Then the manager explains it’s $100 per person for appetizer, entree and dessert.
Upon ordering drinks and appetizers he ran off before I could finish order appetizers and disappeared running around until the drink was ready then came back to take our order. Funny thing was, he wasn’t even our server, we had the manager come by, another woman and multiple other people throughout the night so honestly had no idea who our server actually was.
The manager had to have his wife and daughter come into the restaurant that night because they were so understaffed.
Every order of ours that came out the staff was looking around going to different tables unsure of where to go until we waved at them because they didn’t use seat numbers.
No one came to check on our table once we had to flag the staff down every time, presumably because they were expecting the automatic 20% tip so they didn’t need to do much.
Then the bill comes and the waiter just puts the computer point of sale system next to us and it says $300 flat. No bill to see what we ordered, and it doesn’t even make sense because there should be tax and tip so how can it be $300 flat? Other tables were just paying it without asking. Then she says it’s $150 person but manager said it was $100 person. Then we get the final bill, it is $100 person plus our drinks and tax and tip which was less than $300, so I guess other tables just got scammed all night.
The food was the only saving grace, the appetizers were good, the entrees decent (although having ribeye without any side whatsoever was bit disappointing) and the desert we didn’t care for. Even though we didn’t even get a desert each we had to split one which again makes no sense when we each paid for app, entree and desert.
Lastly, for parking I called ahead and the restaurant said there’s valet for $20. When we showed up they said the restaurant doesn’t do valet and we’d have to go across the street. We didn’t and they charged $25. When we came back they wanted $35 but had to call them out and they charged the original $25, so typical Miami trying to scam everyone for the...
Read moreWent for valentines , the waiter took a while to get there , he explain it was a fix menu which its valentines I figured and complimentary drink which yay great! But then one appetizer appeared within 15 min and then the next appetizer 20 min - no drinks at all we had to ask for them , then they took our waters and drink menu so whatever food came the 62 dollar brazino was just a fish no sides , we had to ask for water and drinks . Again the drinks took forever to get to our table and we finish and we sat there for 40 minutes a lady came check on us and we told her we were waiting for our dessert couldn’t care less , she checked on every table didn’t care about us , then the dessert finally arrived but it was just one we had to ask for the other one and again 30 minutes at this time we just wanted to leave but we were left abandon outside we call the host and she ignored us so finally our other dessert arrived . What a nightmare this place is and maybe it’s because we sat outside and the people give less than 3 craps for people outside so maybe inside it’s better but seriously f this place and I’m glad I’m married already because if it was my first date it would have sucked . Just terrible that this was the place I came for valentines should have stayed home
Update to the reply from consentido: 1)attention and quality they deserved? which was barely any attention , we had to ask for our drinks, our waters, our desserts and we had to fish for our waiter since noone checked on us while we were outside which btw was empty. 2)busiest night , yep and somehow failed to be ready for it and the outside was empty again we were the only ones out there. 3)prix fixe menu communicated in advane where exactly? the only thing i got was the menu when i got there which had no price at all and the only information the waiter gave us was that it was a fix price which wasnt because we were charge normal price per item...
i appreciate the reply but lying its very low to do , you have cameras go check how we were walking outside your resturant trying to flag down someone from your staff, how we were ignored and then how long things took that we had to ask for. again maybe because were sitting outside that service absolutetly sucked but i mean you guys hsould know your tables and be ready expecially for a holiday...
