Upon entering the unit we were greeted with the warmest hello and a beautiful welcoming smile. We were seated and shortly after we saw that same welcoming smile only to find it was our server Sera. She quickly beveraged our table then came back and took our order. We ordered a kids breakfast for our grandson and a lumberjack slam for my husband and I to share. The restaurant wasn't very full when we came but did start to fill up after our order went in. The food came out and grandson went right to work and enjoyed his pancakes and bacon. Us however wasn't as thrilled as he. Our entire meal was cold. The red skinned potatoes were cold, the eggs were cold, dry and overcooked, the sausages were hard, overcooked and cold. The ham was cold, pancakes were so cold that the dollop of butter placed on top sat there like a frozen solid scoop of ice cream, the wheat toast was cold and had so much butter on it that I could've buttered 4 more slices. We tried to sit quietly and work with it resisting the urge to ask for a manager (which we never saw during our entire almost 1hr visit) but it was too deplorable to continue so we called Sera back over and expressed our dissatisfaction and she IMMEDIATELY SPRANG INTO ACTION. She took our food back went to the kitchen and requested a fresh recorder then returned a short while later with steam barrelling from everything on the plate. She was empathetic, apologetic quick to action and followed through to make sure we had no other needs or concerns. Kudos to you guys on an excellent employee. Sera really turned this experience around for us. Now if I'm being honest we may not visit this location again but it definitely wouldn't be because of the service. One other note to the Management / OO here, this unit is in such an awesome location that it could be a gold mine with a little bit more attention to cosmetics like the bathroom. It wasn't the cleanest with tissue holders and such looking old and badly damaged / abused and reeked with the smell of either bad drains or sewage. Thanks for hearing my review and Thanks Sera for a memorable addition to our vacation. We Appreciate You.

Read moreDenny's, a familiar chain known for its expansive menu and affordable prices, has a location on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. Despite its convenience to South Beach, my experiences there have been consistently underwhelming. In the past two years, I've visited this particular Denny's approximately five times, each visit marked by subpar service and a lack of cleanliness.
My most recent visit was particularly disheartening. Arriving around 10:30 AM, I was seated in a booth near the entrance. After a ten-minute wait without any acknowledgment, I resorted to checking the menu on my phone. When a server finally approached, they took my order without a greeting. The French Toast Slam I ordered arrived after a lengthy 26-minute wait. While the egg whites and turkey bacon were cooked well, the French toast was an absolute disappointment. The edges were burned to a crisp, making them inedible. I could only manage to eat the soft center.
The restaurant's atmosphere was chaotic, with a long wait time for food and a disorganized hostess struggling to manage the crowd. The absence of a visible manager exacerbated the situation. As a former restaurant manager myself, I understand the importance of strong leadership during peak times.
To add to the frustration, the payment process was inconvenient. Although the restaurant offers payment options like QR codes on receipts and mobile tablets, I was directed to the front of the restaurant to join a crowded line of customers waiting to pay.
While the food, excluding the French toast, was acceptable, the overall experience at this Denny's location is consistently disappointing. The extended wait times, poor service, and chaotic environment make it an undesirable dining option.
Key areas for improvement: Reduce wait times Enhance cleanliness Improve staff training Provide effective management presence Streamline...
Read moreI’m glad everyone else had a great experience here. But mine was not good at all! The service was terrible. I walked in and waited to be served. I asked an older Jamaican/haitian woman in a short wavy wig if I should continue to wait or should I seat myself, she mumbled something and put her finger up. So I continued to wait. She eventually told a young lady to seat me. When I said to her I didn’t know if I should seat myself or continue waiting.(I was partially joking) she said “I was busy” and rolled her eyes. She took me to my booth and threw my menu on the table and walked away. There was no apology for the wait or I’m sorry you got overlooked but she treated me like it was my fault she chose to work there. I asked to speak to the manager and I explained to him what had occurred at the front door and he was very kind, thoughtful and polite. He apologized and even checked on me during my meal to make sure everything was ok. He explained he didn’t approve of their behavior and had spoken to his team about the way things were handled. My waiter was Richard he was polite while serving me but when we got to checking out my phone lagged. I was paying with Apple Pay and also had to unlock my card. The lag caused about a 2 minute wait with processing. I apologized and told him I was giving him a 22% tip for his patience. I even explained that my card usually unlocks instantly and there had never been a wait time. He gave me a fake annoyed smile and nodded his head.. Instead of being appreciative he acted like I was an inconvenience. I got the T-bone steak with eggs and hash browns and it was delicious and hot. I’m from Philly and I have never had this kind of service at Denny’s before. Needless to say I will not visit another Dennys in Florida. No one wants to be disrespected while spending their hard earned money. The manager...
