I’m writing an honest review to help others know what they’re walking into. I did my shoot in April 2024, after a heartbreak. I saw a promo for a “free Taurus season photoshoot”, and it caught my attention. I thought, “Why not? Let me try something new, start healing and celebrate myself.” So I signed up, and within a week or so, I got a call offering me the free shoot. I booked for 4/30/24. Let me be clear: yes, the shoot itself is “free”, but the experience is set up to lead you toward spending. I paid a $50 deposit, which I never got back (and from reading other reviews, that’s common). I also paid for hair and makeup, which is optional but I figured why not let a professional do it. $130 total The women working there were kind and supportive. I was offered a drink, some chocolates, water, and juice. I’ve seen people say they were set up to drink, but personally, I never felt pushed to do anything. It’s your body and your choice. If you choose to drink, know your limits. This is a grown-folk environment. Moving on, Hair and makeup took 2 hours, so be prepared to sit and try to consider those before you. That’s where the delays may come in. I also waited a while even after arriving on time, it really depends on how long the clients ahead of you take. If you’re on a tight schedule, this might be frustrating. I suggest booking early in the day and keeping the rest of your day clear so you can enjoy the experience without stress. My glam was beautiful though. Shoutout to the artist who did it she had melanin skin, long colorful braids, and such a cool vibe. She was super chill and made me feel cute and confident. Just a tip: speak up if your hair is sensitive to heat and hair spray! They don’t know your hair like you do. For the shoot, I picked the red drape with a black background I was in a dark, spicy, “revenge photo” kind of mood. You undress privately and let the photographer know when you’re ready. The posing is quick and professional. Yes, you’re nude, but nothing felt creepy. I enjoyed the shoot. Now, here’s where it gets real. No one really breaks down the pricing in their reviews—but let me be the one to do it. After the shoot, you sit with a rep (mine was Barbie super sweet and persuasive), and she shows you the photos. They are beautiful, no doubt. But the prices are high. Whether you want a metal frame, canvas, album, or digital copies, the more photos you choose, the more it’ll cost you. At first, I also walked away with just the free Instax and one digital. But after a few days, I couldn’t stop thinking about how pretty they were and honestly, I wanted to prove to myself that I still got it. So I came back and bought 10 digital photos for $1,110.60, and Barbie even threw in 2 extra, making it 12 total. They finance through a company called Healthcare Finance Direct (HFD). Yeah, I know it sounds weird that a photography company uses a healthcare finance provider. HFD has terrible reviews, and now I get why. I started off paying $60/month, but when I missed their no-interest deadline (pay $400 by 11/13/24), interest kicked in hard. What started at $1,110 jumped to $1,500 in just 6 months. I still have 11 months left. It feels like the longer I pay, the more it grows. Lesson: don’t finance what you can’t afford. I’m now saving up just to pay it off early. I wish I had slowed down, read everything I signed, and thought twice. Honestly? You could recreate this whole shoot at home. Get a friend, a makeover, a backdrop, a drape, and boom you’ve got yourself a personal photo shoot. Edit with AI or apps. But if you have the money and want a professional, empowering experience, then yes Nouvo delivers that vibe. They even do couples. Would I do it again? only if I could pay in full. I don’t regret the experience, but I do regret the financing part. This review isn’t to say Nouvo is bad but it’s not perfect either. I give it a real 3 stars. The studio, the people, the photos—all great. But the costs, and the organization brought it down. Be smart. Be informed. And most importantly do it for YOU, not...

Let me start by saying, I have very low confidence and trouble shining my own light. This may be a long review but every word is honest and from the heart.

Words cannot express how amazing of an experience this was! From the moment I walked in the women were fantastic! I was greeted warmly, had my makeup and hair done so beautifully and my photographs came out astonishing, beyond my wildest imagination.

Valeria did my hair and makeup. She was so kind and an pro at her craft. I let her know I wanted to look as natural as possible and she understood the assignment. She chose colors that complemented my skin tone beautifully and gave me a simple yet pooping hair and makeup look which is exactly what I wanted. She took the time to explain what products she used and how to use them because I have no hair or makeup knowledge lol. She was great!

Jenn was my photographer and she was absolutely wonderful! Such a sweet person who made me feel beautiful and empowered. She took the time to sit with me before the shoot to learn what I wanted out of the experience, filled me with positive vibes and affirmations, and hyped me up when I was feeling self conscious. I explained my insecurities and instead of letting me hide them, she embraced them and helped me accept what I always thought were flaws as beauty in every form. Jenn really knows her stuff! The angles, the lighting, the poses, everything was phenomenal. We took a lot of pictures so I had an abundance of options to choose from. I'm super indecisive but Jenn was so patient as I chose the photos I wanted and helped me choose ones that highlighted my body in ways that I would not have been comfortable with before stepping into this studio. All of the ladies were incredible but Jenn takes the cake for making this an unforgettable experience.

I had the amazing opportunity to come into Nuovo for a self love photo shoot and the experience was spectacular from the moment my foot stepped into the door. The hospitality was amazing! It was all women so all feelings of anxiety quickly dissipated.

The makeup artist, Valeria, did a fantastic job enhancing my beauty while maintaining my typical natural look. She made my hair look so pretty with the soft curls and volume I can for some reason never achieve on my own.

Pauline was an amazing photographer! I did the exposed (for the first time ever! 🤭) and unexposed photoshoot and love how respectful and professional she was. She helped me position myself into poses that best compliment my body type. The photos came out STUNNING! When I say I have never felt so beautiful before I mean it.

Then reviewing my 100+ photos was the hard part because I wish I could have kept all of them. Sophie helped me go through my photos and she made the process of choosing my package very quick and simple (the longest part of the process was narrowing down the 100+ photos to just 25! 🥲

Overall, every single woman at Nuovo did an excellent job at making the experience smooth, exhilarating and beautiful. Everyone is constantly complimenting your eyes or your hair or your photos - JUST you in general!

As someone who has struggled with self confidence, Nuovo is absolutely the place to go if you need that confidence/ego boost. They do such a wonderful job at helping you see your natural beauty in its glory. I’m thrilled to be taking home 26 photos in digital and print, plus my large aluminum portrait.

I have seen how older women lose that sense in themselves and stop feeling beautiful and have feared getting to that point in life. These photos will live forever and i’ll be able to look back in 20-30-40 years and see just how beautiful I have ALWAYS been.
