Awesome little hidden jewel on coral way, waiter was super charming and food was delicious. Parking lot is in the back but only way to access it requires you to go through the road between Big lots and it’s auxiliary parking lot (it’s a road that loops to the back of big lots - so it doesn’t connect with the next street so no way of getting there if you pass the restaurant). Best way is to go southbound on 27th Avenue towards 24th street and turn into big lots. Once in that road, farolito is on your left (after four houses down).

We started with some nice warm dinner rolls (which most restaurants have cold hard rolls). Then we had a Peruvian pork tamal which uses the same cornmeal as my favorite Nicaraguan Nacatamales but had lean pork meat (nacatamales keeps the pork fat for smoother consistency and added flavor). And you MUST try eating it with its tangy onions which really makes the whole tamal so flavorful and yummy.

Next was the main course, my brother had the lomo saltado with white rice which he enjoyed though he wanted more rice (which we all did want but realized it was just fine since we were on a diet and wanted dessert). I had the cilantro fish which was swimming in a green broth (a bit overwhelming). And my sister had the cilantro fish with a glass of white wine.

For dessert we had delicious home made alfajores which are shortbread cookies filled with dulce de leche (cooked condensed milk that taste like caramel). We all agreed it was super yummy although the short bread can be a bit dry so do keep water nearby. It was one of the best alfaflor/ alfajores i have ever eaten and it wasn’t too sweet so you can eat more! And they have Kolita inglesa which is the Peruvian version of the red cola served in many Central American countries. It not too sweet which is great for diabetics like me. My favorite is Costa Rican red Fanta ( the U.S. strawberry version taste nothing like a good red cola). Nicaragua has Milca soda which you can buy in most supermarkets in Miami (in case you want to try a red soda).

Overall the food was very nice, ambient was lovely with walls covered with wine bottles. Convenient back parking lot and spacious handicap accessible single stall bathroom.

When in the back parking lot, just walk through the door which goes through the restaurant kitchen and straight through the dining room. The bathroom is marked with a painted lady which has a small storage area before you reach a second door to actual stall.

We are definitely coming back to try other things on the menu, it has been a very pleasant dining experience in this cozy Peruvian restaurant. Prices average to $30 per person which is quite reasonable for the quality of food.

Sorry for the half eaten Alfaflor in the picture since it was so delicious that very little was left when I realized I forgot to...

Exquisita experiencia ! Ricardo fue nuestro mesero . Super detallista....profecional ...y amable. Now in English for the folks that don't speak Spanish and still want to enjoy fine Peruvian cuisine at a reasonable price this little restaurant is exquisite! Definitely a must go best kept secret although it's been here 32 years in the same establishment and the same place in the same location it was the first time I visited and it will not be the last I will continue to frequent this extraordinary restaurant again and again. I had the chupe de camarones and of course it came with a surprise it came with lobster inside! Super delish and my partner had the whole fried snapper which I swear to God took up two separate plates it was so big so the portions are very generous to say the least all while enjoying an amazing ambience inside. The interior is decorated with Peruvian style decor. The place is a high-end Chic feel to it and I loved every second of it and again great service organic amazing food so I don't know what any of these reviews are talking about or the guy that wrote a nasty review a week ago but I've been around the block more than a few times and five star restaurants in Miami weather it's Brickell key or Coral Way or Miracle Mile or the Grove or Key Biscayne and I can tell you that I really enjoyed my dinner my time and my space in this quaint little treat of...

The service is exceptional, you won’t find yourself looking for a waiter or waitress when needed. Renzo I’m not sure if he’s the main server but he has great customer service, patient and professional.

The tiradito was definitely a 8/10. The chicha which is not made in house was delicious, 10/10. The restaurant look very clean and the ambiance is nice, they have tennis matches on both t.vs but no music.

I have eaten at this establishment but I have also ordered take out and let tell you that I’m little disappointed with the price.

The lunch specials are $15 but they charge you extra for an item that should already come with the food. For example a couple of weeks ago I ordered the fried calamari, it should already come with the salsa criolla but I had pay 4-$5 for it as a side which makes no sense to me because I’ve been to more than 10 Peruvian restaurants and they don’t charge you for the salsa criolla. They did add the tarter sauce which was definitely a 2/10.

Lower your rates or add a drink to your specials I spent almost $50 on two lunch specials that didn’t even...

Excellent Peruvian food and best tiraditos in town. But the dish that makes me go back time after time is the Seco de Chivo. Outstanding! Great selection of wines too. For dessert their home made alfajores are so good!
