I have frequented this place for quite some time, and lately it seems like every time I go, their business practices get shadier. First, they started charging for chip refills without letting you know. Not just that, they charge $3.50 for a very small bowl again without letting you know that they were doing so. I ordered the Machete and an agua fresca. They served me water in a styrofoam cup which is what the Agua fresca has always been served in and brought me the agua fresca in a glass (which has less) with a ton of ice. I put the juice in the styrofoam cup and it was a little less than 3/4 of what I should've received. I brought it to the server's attention and she said that the owner wants her to use the styrofoam for water and the glasses for juice despite me seeing her do the opposite for another table. When the bill came, the price for the Machete was $5 more than what was advertised in the menu and the agua fresca was $0.33 more as well. I brought it to the servers attention and she said "The owner raised the prices again. The right price is listed on our to-go-menu." which she then brought me. All-in-all, very disappointed with this establishment that I held in such high regard. I understand that inflation is effecting everybody, but it shouldn't feel like you're trying to get over on your customers... there should definitely be more transparency and let them make the choice. I've been coming here for a while and will likely not be...

Late lunch and the place is clean and nicely decorated. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered the flaunts and my husband ordered the gorditas with chorizo. I really did not like the chicken flauntas. They were way too thick and the chicken on the inside had no flavor. Also, the menu said they came with red beans and sour cream and neither came with the plate. It was a little dry so I reread the menu and I realized it was because the sour cream was missing. The waitress was alerted and she brought out a small dish with red beans and a small dish of what looked like a cream with a mayonnaise base. Overall, if this is authentic Mexican, then I just realized that I don't particularly care for authentic Mexican. I actually enjoyed my husband's gordita better even though the portion was small. The chips were good and made on the premises but the guacamole was average. Will...

☆ONE STAR☆ . Because I am beyond upset . Funny thing is the pictures are so out of date it's not even funny the restaurant is EVEN split INTO TWO la taqueria side looks considerably better compared to the most disappointing flavorless prison food style serving Mediterranean food I have ever tasted. Oh and the veggie platter is 15 dollars and it doesn't even come with a salad. Which is considerably the size of a fist (Greek salad) weird you might say but guess what from the veggie platter we got susititued 2 items...falafels are as hard and tasteless ...it also has a side effect to shred thy mouths roof. It hurts. I ALSO HAD THE SORRIEST EXCUSE FOR A KABAB. THE SEASONING WAS ALRIGHT HOLY CHIRST DONT GIVE ME RED CHORIZO THAT I BUY AT THE LOCAL SUPERMARKET everything is store bought. Maybe la taqueria is better....but I will never come back to this...

Without a doubt this place is amazing. As a Mexican living here in Miami, there’s no place that has a closer to authentic taste than this place. I highly recommend you come here and order the tacos de asada or al pastor or the machete which is giant quesadilla that includes any meat, the salsa are great and spicy and the horchata was freshly made and was like heaven on earth. The chef Oscar Rubi is if not the best chef here in Miami. I never have been impressed more than now to write a review but the chef and this place has more than earned this.

You can go to a very good Mexican restaurants in Miami, but this is special just because the owners are always there on top of the high quality food and service. I have been the plenty of times to try as many dishes as I can. What is different about this place in terms of Mexican food is they don't just carry the usual Mexican food: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, but they bring new dishes from the north part of the country like the machete which is one of their specialties. On Fridays they have live music, if you want to enjoy like hits.
