Ming Yuan Restaurant — Restaurant in Miami

Used to be my favorite Chinese food restaurant to order from not anymore! I ordered a dinner plate of Honey Chicken with the honey on the side, crab ragoons, and eggs rolls. The food arrived early which was a surprise, I was happy until I opened my bag. The crab ragoons was burnt, the chicken inside my dinner plate was burnt, and my eggs rolls as well. I wasn't going to complain, and was just going to eat it while I'm looking for the honey for the honey chicken and it isn't there. I call right away, and they tell me to give me a second that she was going to call the driver so they can turn back around and bring it back must've forgot. I said ok no problem. I wait 30 minutes, still nothing. I call, I ask about the honey and they said they were waiting for the driver I said can I know his ETA because I've been waiting for over 30 minutes now and they said we don't know you have to wait, mind you my food is cold by now. I literally told them they have such bad service because what in the world makes them think it's okay to leave a customer in this situation with no solution. They have plenty of drivers they could've easily sent someone over with my honey. I would never again order from them they lost a customer and I will let all my friends and family that have bought from them know about my experience so it doesn't happen to them. About 30 minutes ago I called this restaurant to place a pick up order for two small shrimp lo meins. I told the woman on the phone to please make sure there isn’t any meat in the food because last time someone made a mistake and added meat. I was told the food doesn’t come with meat in a rude manner (this I already knew that’s the reason I just made that simple comment to ensure my food was prepared accordingly due to a previous visit). Now as a buyer I have every right to ensure this so I don’t understand the attitude. I walk into the restaurant and was asked by a older Latin woman dirty blonde hair what I was there for and I told her my order. She sighed so hard like it was the end of the world, as if I had ruined her day. I let that go and didn’t say anything. The whole time the service was horrible she didn’t talk to me, smile back nothing. After paying for my food she returned my change and I said thank you she simply turned around and didn’t even blink. This is unacceptable and rude, mind you she was in a better mood with someone that picked up their order before me. I’m never going back there again. I ordered the Szechuan chicken which comes with ham fried rice on the dinner menu. The Szechuan chicken was wonderful but the ham fried rice was horrible. I've had Rice-A-Roni right out of the box which was more enjoyable, and I mean right out of the box - not cooked. I also ordered "Potstickers" for an appetizer and I asked that they not be too crispy. They came out way overdone and, to be honest, I have had frozen potstickers from the grocery store which were far better.

The place is small, it has only two tables, and it is dingy and dirty. Through no fault of the restaurant there was a gathering of panhandlers who would continue to stare through the window while we tried to eat our dinner. Situated just on the fringe of the Wynwood area in Miami, it's a very run-down neighborhood.

On a more positive note, the young lady who took our order was very polite and I can honestly say that customer service was top-notch. Also the portions were large and the prices are very reasonable.
