Vale Food Co is a gem for anyone seeking flavorful, health-conscious meals without sacrificing taste or quality. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the clean, modern ambiance and the welcoming energy of the staff. The restaurant radiates wellness—from its eco-chic decor to its menu full of nutrient-dense options. It’s clear that Vale Food Co puts serious effort into sourcing high-quality, fresh ingredients. The food itself? Fantastic. Every bite reflects attention to detail and a commitment to clean eating. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, or simply looking for wholesome meals, Vale has you covered with an impressive range of customizable bowls, salads, proteins, and plant-based options. However, one thing caught me off guard: their choice of bread for the toasts. Despite positioning themselves as a health-forward brand, they use a local white panini bread as the base for all toasts. This felt like a misstep, especially when whole grain, sprouted, or seeded breads would better align with the overall health-driven philosophy of the restaurant. It was surprising, and frankly, a bit disappointing given the otherwise stellar standards they uphold. That said, service was smooth and friendly, portions were generous, and the overall dining experience was very positive. With just a small tweak—upgrading their toast bread to something more nutritious—Vale Food Co would truly be firing on all cylinders.

Ordered by UBER. The presentation of the item was visually appealing, but unfortunately, it was not freshly prepared. The entire bowl arrived frozen solid — the fruits and granola were encased in ice, indicating it had likely been stored in the freezer overnight. After thawing, the texture and flavor were completely lost, and the fruits had no freshness or taste. This product was not suitable for immediate consumption and did not meet the quality standards expected for a freshly made breakfast item. I kindly request that this order be reviewed for a refund or credit, as it was not delivered in an edible condition. I gave this place a second chance after they contacted me, but I was deeply disappointed again. Ordered through Uber Eats — the bowl looked visually appealing, yet it arrived completely frozen solid, clearly taken straight from the freezer. Once thawed, the fruit and granola lost all texture and flavor, with no freshness at all. This is not what a freshly prepared item should be. Very disappointing experience — never again.

I really like this healthy food spot, it’s super convenient because you can walk in and build your own bowl right away. It’s perfect if you’re on a specific diet or tracking your macros since you can customize everything to your preference. They have plenty of options for veggies, sides, carbs, and salads. The only thing I’d mention is that the proteins tend to feel a bit greasy. If they prepared the proteins in a healthier way, the food would be even better. I usually order the salmon or the shrimp, and while they taste good, they’re often a bit too oily or heavily seasoned. Other than that, everything is fresh and delicious.

This is the first restaurant review I've ever written, and I've never felt the need to review even the worst dining experiences I've had. But this time was different, because the experience was so awful that it would be wrong of me not to warn others of making the same mistake I did by ordering from this restaurant.

I want to make clear how utterly appalled I am by the terrible service I received from Vale. I placed an order for 15 bowls for my company lunch through Uber Eats at 11:15 AM, expecting a simple and timely lunch. By 12:30 PM, I received a notification from the Uber Eats driver that Vale hadn't even started making the order yet.

First, I called the restaurant multiple times, and no one picked up. Naturally, I went down to the restaurant myself to find out what the hell was going on. When I asked the staff where my order was, the woman making the bowls literally shrugged at me like it was no big deal. No apology, no urgency, just blatant disregard for the situation. I honestly thought I was going crazy for a second, wondering if I had made some mistake, but no, the incompetence was entirely on your end.

It wasn’t until 12:30 PM, over an hour after the order was placed, that a manager finally decided to acknowledge the situation and claim they would start making my order. I watched as the staff worked like they couldn’t care less. Mind you, there was literally only 6 people at the restaurant... Meanwhile, a woman waiting for her own catering order that had been placed over a week ago, told me she’d already been waiting two hours and they hadn’t even started on hers. Clearly, Vale has no business accepting orders for delivery through UberEats or Postmates if you’re incapable of fulfilling them in a timely manner. You’re simply not equipped to handle this level of service, and it’s beyond frustrating to deal with such blatant incompetence.

After all of this, my order was finally completed at 2:00 PM, nearly three hours after it was placed. This experience was not just disappointing, it was infuriating. You should be embarrassed by the level of service your staff provided, and frankly, I don’t know how you can justify continuing to offer these your food on these takeout platforms if your employees are clearly incapable.

I will NEVER order...

It pains me to write a negative review on a small business since my father was a small business owner himself. Nonetheless, my rating stems mostly from how Vale Food deceptively prices its meals. Last night, I ordered a regular bowl which came with two bases, each base has a portion size of two scoops. My first base was two smallish scoops of chipotle mac and cheese. I then selected braised beef, whereupon I also got two scoops. I ordered no other sauces, boosts, toppings or any other ingredients. I go to pay, and the cashier was kind enough to charge me for a small bowl since I only had two ingredients. But then I am upcharged $2.00 for the braised beef which I wasn't told about when I ordered and then for the second scoop, I was upcharged an additional $3.00. If my meal comes with two scoops, why I am being upcharged again at an even higher price? Secondly, this is braised beef, not lobster meat or wagyu beef, typically associated with upcharges. Thus, I incurred $5.00 in upcharges on a $12 meal. These upcharges were not disclosed to me when I selected the food nor was an explanation given on why I was charged a second upcharge that was even higher than the first upcharge. Bottom line, customers hate being nickeled and dimed or deceived by any restaurant. The food was fine, nothing special but I won't ever return to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone. This was my first and last time visiting this restaurant, sad because I live across the...
