They don't take cash. That's always a sign of a greedy owner who's afraid of workers stealing. That alone is a turn off and the reason we're not going back. Music was nice. We had 4 drinks. Left these half full n went to dance. When we were back, 5 minutes later, our drinks were cleared away. No, no one else was seating there nor no one else put their drinks there. One bartender agreed to give us half of a new drink, but the manager, who's pretending to listen, but mainly tells lies, refused to give us our half glass of wine, which we overpaid for anyways. Why's manager a liar? Bcs she said: " my ppl never took your drinks, so I won't give you a new one". So... who took our drinks and why would anyone take drinks and clean our table, unless they work there?! Do ppl go out to venues to clean tables??! How ridiculous is that! She was a control freak who was just enjoying the fact that she can say no, even if she had to say something as stupid as: "maybe one of the ppl here cleared your drinks". Unless she's just not very bright, anyone can see how what she's saying made no sense. When did you last go to a bar and cleaned other ppls tables??! Essentially, this is theft. I paid for my drinks. The staff took them, and now I don't get them back. Once I've paid for them, these are mine. It is why this is technically theft. A disappointment and yup, we're not going back. 2 stars for good atmosphere and one nice bartender, which...

I understand Wynnwood is a recently developed, highly gentrified area in Miami with many new bars and restaurants. I understand that a bar/restaurant wants to make money. That blatantly transactional relationship is on full display at The Deck at Wynnwood marketplace.
Our group of four found a nice outdoor table around 6:30, it was not crowded at all. While perusing the drink menu we asked our sever for 4 waters. We were told they did not serve complimentary glasses of tap water - you had to buy a 12oz bottle; that’s the only way to drink water at this place. Rack up $15 for water!! Come on, even the most exploitative Ocean drive tourist joints give you a free glass of water!!
We ordered our drinks and the server asked us to pay as we were ordering and to include our tip. How can I include a tip when I really haven’t even been served?! The server couldn’t clearly explain that a tip is in addition to the mandatory 12% service fee. The drinks took at least 10 minutes to arrive (average mojito), so I wanted to decrease my tip. Thus ensued a series of at least 3 credit cars transactions to update the tip. Insanely complicated..
The Decks at Wynwood is a soulless place looking to take your last penny. Better experiences await elsewhere...
Read moreWe went last night and arrived before 11pm. At the entrance they required a $20 cover for males and $10 for females. It was 4 of us. My friend visiting for the first time wanted to see the place inside first before paying, but the door guy rudely said she couldn’t go take a look. We still went in and waited about 20 mins for a waiter, tired of waiting we ordered from the bar. We ordered a jar of cocktails that’s supposed to equal 5 drinks, but the cups were small plastic cups and the jar actually made only almost 4 cups. Lots of ice in the jar mostly. We ordered a second jar and were never told that a 20% gratuity was already included so we ended up tipping 40%. That due to them bringing an ipad and not showing you a breakdown of the charges only options to tip or to not tip. In general a negative experience and not worth paying $66 for 4 people to get in plus $136 on 2 drinks per person, mathematically it makes no sense to spend $50 per person to drink 2 small cocktails. Not recommended. They used to be much better. I think they’re taking advantage of other bars being closed. I hope other places open up in the area so that bars like these stop ripping people off. Go to La Tiendita Taqueria if you want a great and affordable experience with excellent...
