One of the more pleasant experiences I've had. The server took a while, we assumed she was training since the regulars from the group had never seen her before. Food didn't take to long just felt like it because others had placed their orders prior to our arrival. Staff did not bring silverware with first plates brought out (oders were steak, broccoli, potatoes, pizza and Philly cheesesteak sandwich), lucky our server was close by so we could request it. That was a long wait for the utensils though. Along with those she also brought a large side of ranch and a mango lemonade. She then brought up fresh potatoes as the kitchen staff was in the process of making a new batch when our order was completed. She didn't return to the table often so I wasn't able to get refills when needed however the manager accidentally brought food to our table that wasn't ours so I was able to get a water. It really just seemed like a pace issue, from what I could tell she didn't seem forgetful or not pay attention. Since the food was brought out before she could check everything and she brought the ranch without having to be reminded (to my knowledge). I would just recommend stopping by your tables more frequently and maybe having a script for new employees to make sure that they're asking questions to make sure they were taken care of with less trips, ie. Togo boxes/orders, refills after being gone for a while. This was one of my less needy trips.
During previous visits I've been ignored at the bar top after asking for a menu, had appetizers brought out at the same time as my food (20-30 minute wait for mozzarella sticks and a sandwich). During that visit my sandwich was hot but the mozzarella sticks were cold, very cold. Had one and the cheese was stiff after requesting the bartender get me a new set she broke a second one open to inspect herself. They brought me back the same mozzarella sticks that had just been refried with two new ones in it. Since they were using the same sticks instead of new ones the cheese overcooked leaving empty very dark crispy husks with the exception of the two new ones. Calling the bartender over once again and showing her how the problem had been made worse and that I would like new ones not refried "she told me that's just how some of them are" this point I requested a manager and let them know about the situation. He then approached the bartender broke open them in front of her telling her how it was unacceptable removed them from my ticket and brought me a fresh batch. Only took 3 attempts, an hour and 15 minutes and a managers attention to get an edible appetizer.
Have had similar problems with overcooked mozzarella sticks (not corrected), waitresses not bringing salad dressing for extended periods of time, forgetting/unfinished sides, and not being attended at...
Read moreOur waitress was nice and kept asking if we needed anything but our food? Not so nice. My girlfriend had ordered some wings and when they came out they had no sauce on them eventhough she asked for Mild. When the waitress returned we ask for a side of mild due to there being none on the wings, when she brought it it was clearly cold and looked like it came out of a bottleI... just looked unappetizing to me... I had gotten the avocado bacon sandwich and when it arrived I noticed the whole bottom bread was completely soaked and all soggy. I think that was caused by the tomato being put on the bottom of the sandwich instead of the top or middle but, I decided not to complain and eat it anyways. A few minutes later the manager was going around asking how everyone was doing, when she got to our table I just said it was fine(not wanting to complain) but shortly after she left I came across a rotten avocado that was so dark it probably would have been black the next day. This clearly grossed me out and made me think "how much of this did I already eat?" It grossed me out enough that I had to say something. When the manager came back to us asking about it she goes "I asked how everything was and you said fine" I replied with "yes because I didnt want to complain but after seeing the avocado that just tipped the scale for me" she seemed to get a little smart about it and started saying "I'm sorry I'm sorry, my fault" just the way she came at me with it seemed like she was annoyed. She did however take the sandwich off the bill for me which I was grateful for. All in all, probably won't come back to...
Read moreUpdated review- I was in town visiting my husband at work. I usually eat at the Corpus Christi location. I did not like this location. The server seemed to not be in a good mood. I understand everyone has bad days but it does affect the experience and the tip when a server seems inconvenienced by doing their job. I ordered the chicken fried chicken. Came with a dollop of gravy on top. I asked for more gravy (the server seemed a little irritated when I asked). It was extremely greasy, it plopped out of the cup (if that makes sense). I only took a few bites and ended up with a stomach ache. The music was very loud too. My husband and his coworker had margaritas that came with a shot of crown apple. They thought it was tequila, so our guest dumped it into his drink without knowing what it was and couldn't finish it. The chorizo queso was pretty good. Fried pickles were a tad soggy. My husband said a lot of times they come here they end up with soggy fried pickles. The fire fries were good. We also ordered the appetizer nachos. They were ok but we prefer queso and not shredded cheese because you end up with a lot of bare chips. I originally gave 1 star because I wrote this when I had a stomach ache and headache. I am giving 2 stars now because the chorizo queso was pretty good, our guest enjoyed his burger, and my husband enjoyed his pasta. Regardless, I will not be stopping here during future...
