Update: Gave them a couple of years.. No improvement. Left a sandwich off the order, fries are old/stale, although the employee that brought the incomplete order to our vehicle was nice.. still no increase in stars.
They only get one star because I can't write a review with no stars. This morning, my fiancé and I attempted to order a late night/early morning snack to get the 40th anniversary Happy Meal toys. We placed our order on the app, and made our way to the "restaurant". Upon arriving, we noticed that both drive thru lane signs said "Closed". After confirming on Google that this location is in fact 24 hours, we pulled up to the speaker. After a couple of minutes, a male voice explained that the restaurant was closed for twenty minutes and asked if we could come back later. I explained that we placed an online order and paid for it and so coming back wasn't really something we were interested in doing. He said "Wait a minute" and promptly ignored us for ten. Finally, he came back and again said the restaurant was closed and we would have to come back. By now, I'll admit, my annoyance was showing. Also, another car had pulled in behind us. I once again explained the online order and he sighed, audibly, and told me to pull up to the second window. As I did that, he was leaning out of the window and said that his system was down and so he couldn't even see what we had ordered. I showed him my phone with the order details and he said he'd be right back. Another ten minutes go by and he came back with two Happy Meal boxes and declares that there are no toys so he gave us cookies. I explained that the whole reason we were there was for the toys. His response was that there was nothing he could do, he had no toys. Then, and I quote "you want make complaint, make complaint" at which point he slammed the window closed and locked it. No part of this interaction was acceptable. I don't care if it is McDonald's in Midland, the land of subpar customer service, this man was rude, without provocation or cause. To be clear, we placed an order at a 24-hour location, expecting to be able to pick up what we ordered without ugliness or insolence. Additionally, he was wearing a button up, presented himself as the manager on duty, and wasn't wearing a name tag. That said, I'll recognize him since I took his photo as he was storming off. I'll be contacting their local General Manager as well as corporate and anyone else who...
Read moreI don't eat McDonalds often but "treated" my 6 year old to it because that's what he asked for after having a couple of good weeks at school and he enjoys getting the Happy Meal, solely because of the toy. He would prefer an adult meal because of the quantity but settles for the kids meal because he likes the toys. Anyway we went through the drive thru, as I was paying at the first window, there was an employee walking by with his hand half way down his pants, I ignored it. Then I got to the 2nd window, the girl did not greet me or say one word while she handed me my bags. She did eventually say "thanks" and shut the window. My son was asking for his toy, so reached in the bag for it, didn't see it, no biggie, parked, took my receipt inside for proof and just simply said, we didn't get our toy to the lady at the counter. She didnt say anything to me, just turned around and tapped the managers shoulder. I then explained to her the same thing. She was immediately defensive and began raising her voice, not quite yelling but definitely in a rude manor and said "we don't have toys! That's why we tell you we're giving you a cookie instead! " I told her no one had told me that and she said "Well, who did you talk to?!" I said, I don't know, it was a guy, I'm assuming the one that was at the 1st window. She goes to the back, I assume to get the guy, and I just left. I'm not going to get into a confrontation with an employee over a 25 cent toy in front of my 6 year old son. I left and went to McDonalds on Andrews Hwy. and just bought a toy. Problem solved. Will not return to this...
Read moreHere are some highlights from my visits. Awful customer service, and the food (breakfast and lunch) gave my kids food poisoning multiple times, as well as my wife and I.
One visit I ordered a medium sprite and came home to discover there was a dead spider inside of the cup.
Another visit I ordered breakfast and it gave my 4 and 2 year food poisoning. My son now refuses to eat McDonald's breakfast.
My last visit was another example of terrible customer service and food preparation. The cashier was obviously in her cell phone while taking my order. She kept responding "what" to my order. Then I get to the window and she charges me for the wrong order. I get to the next window and realize this and try this correct it, she has my correct receipt in her hand but she crumbled it up so bad it was no longer legible. She explains to me "the difference between the two orders is .50, I can give it to you if you'd like". For 1, the difference was $2, and second YES I work hard for every cent and I want my change. She gives me an attitude after I tell her "yea, I need that". A manager returns and places the two quarters in my hand in the pettiest manner ever. I get home and eat my food, which was subpar from the various McDonald's I've visited all over the world.
The next morning I wake up to the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced. I'm writing this review on day 3 of me being unable to eat. This McDonald's will never receive another dime of my money. I've also been warning all of my coworkers of their awful service .
I will post a picture of the spider in my...
