So happy to have another great place to visit for great food and affordable prices right downtown!

Hubby and I visited Sunday at opening (3 pm) and sat right by the window overlooking Main Street (this may be my favorite place to sit 😁). Sunny, our server chatted with us for a bit and took our drink order. At the time of our visit they only had beer and wine so I ordered a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat (Delicious!) and hubby order Mich Ultra - both on draft (bonus points).

We met friends and the atmosphere was very nice for conversation, no loud music to try and talk over.

I ordered the salmon salad with Caesar dressing. It comes with the dressing on the side and a pita (yummy touch!). This was delicious and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Avocado slices also made for nice addition. The salad was quite big but it was so good I ate it all 😳

Hubby ordered the tacos (1 each of chicken, steak and fish). He's not normally a taco guy but he said they were fabulous.

Our friends ordered the cheeseburger with fries and the Tavern pita with homemade chips. Both said their dinners were fantastic.

Parking is parallel parking on Main and side streets. Depending on what's happening downtown you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot close. Plus a little stroll downtown is always nice šŸ™‚

Prices are reasonable for sure. For the two of us with 4 beers was right around $50.

The menu looks great with a variety of food and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of cocktails they'll end up having once they get the liquor in.

I think this might be a nice place to meet up with friends for a drink or like we did, a late lunch.

We will definitely be back and if you are visiting it's worth a...

The food was very good. I asked for something I saw on a Google Review that looked like some kind of ham sandwich and the waitress guessed on what it was. The food looked nothing like what the picture was but it was still very good. Stacked ham and chips. Everyone said they liked their food as well. The waitress was very quick with initial service and that quickness was a little aggressive once we got our food. We had barely gotten to try it and she was already back asking if we needed anything. She was also rushed at the end while we were trying to ask for boxes and was a little edgy when we tried to make it clear how many we needed because she walked away before checking in with everyone at the table and there was only four of us. Just wasn't as warm and friendly as we would have liked. The man also working and walking around was very personable. The atmosphere was good and had multiple TVs with different sports on them all. Overall it was nice and would recommend it as an excellent food option with...

Thought we would give Tavern On Main a try since it’s a new place in town. We really enjoyed our experience there! The service was outstanding; our waitress was attentive to all of our needs. We had side salads which were larger than normal for a side salad and I really liked the spicy ranch dressing. We each had 8 bone-in chicken wings with blue cheese and celery, which were excellent, and we shared onion rings which were very good as well; the only suggestion for those would be to offer some sort of special sauce for the onion rings. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. The only thing I personally didn’t care for was the blue cheese dressing. My girlfriend thought it was good and she eats a lot more blue cheese dressing than I do. The waitress said that they make it themselves in-house, so it’s their own take on it; which is perfectly fine, just wasn’t for me. All in all, it was a great restaurant that we will add to our list of ā€œgo toā€...

We’ve been here twice. Eaten here once. The first time we came the gal at the front door was so rude we left. Came back to give it another try last week. We ordered chips and queso for $10 - what came out was literally two handfuls of warmed up Tostitos chips, the strip kind, with a small little cup of warmed up Tostitos queso blanco. So immediately we’re amused by this. We ordered drinks - two strawberry frescas and a martini - the drinks didn’t suck. I got a quesadilla and my husband got a gyro. Both were so filled with grease that they sprung leaks every time we bit into them. Both were just plain gross. Something I’d expect from Marcos diner up the way and not a Main Street establishment where I pay $80+ to be served Gordon Food Service and marked up Tostitos. I hope something good takes over when these folks are inevitably gone. Midland deserves to have good food for once and this just isn’t it.
