Cafe Trang Bistro Midvale — Restaurant in Midvale

Came in around 4:40pm today, and it was completely dead in the restaurant. A older man, and younger boy who took my order. I ordered the bun noodle bowl with only lettuce, which saved them all of the veggies they usually would put on this dish. I asked for extra meat, $2.50 which is what I expected. And asked for extra fish sauce. I was charged for that, and since I was taking out, I asked for a side of hoisin and siracha sauce. And the boy said it would be an extra charge. ??!? 🤔 I questioned that, because they provide the sauce bottles for dine in. Which was strange to me. I spent $16 and change for my one plate? So ridiculous. I get it, inflation! But I’ve been here several times in the last 2 months, and I’ve never been charged for “take out”sauce.

I’ll prob won’t recommend this location who charges for every little thing. Surprised I didn’t get charged for my napkin and fork. Also, while putting sauce on my plate to go, the two gentlemen just stared at me the entire time. Such a weird vibe. No wonder why this place has...

9 of 10 times I have ordered from here have been complete trash and over-priced. I wanted to give them a chance. Fried rice has been somehow overcooked, chewy, and very oily at the same time. I've never had fried rice that was so oily that it left my lips feeling like I just ate a spoonful of vegetable oil after 2 bites. I threw it out. It was also light on meat.

Aside from that, the portions are out of wack. Paying $9 for fried rice, even if it was good, I would expect more than 1/6th of a container. I would expect more than 4 forkfuls of pork in a Bun dish that is about 99% vermicelli noodles.

Place is a ripoff with sloppy cooking. Avoid at all cost and go to Pho33 instead. (not paid or employed by Pho33, they're just immensely better and have never...

I would give the restaurant a minus 5 if i could. My sweet and sour chicken was burned, she said they could remake but it would be the same. Why would I want the same . So I asked for a refund, she said let me call someone. Without any explanation, she called the police. She told him they don't do refunds but never said that to me. When the policeman asked for the manager she said he was not there that she was incharge. She gave him a phone number for the manager which you a message that number cant take a message. The policeman said that was a first for him in his 28 years as a cop, being called because a customer asked for a refund. Will never eat...
